Make a real difference by supporting Aiden’s Footsteps Charity Funday in Haverhill on 17th March 2012

Aiden is two years old and has Cerebral Palsy. In order for him to have the best possible chance in life and keep up with his healthy twin brother, Owen, his parents are trying to raise money for an operation in America this spring.

Up until now, Aiden’s mother, Victoria Thompson, has been organising all of the fundraising herself, with the help of family and friends. However, Sarah Egan and Tracy Connolly from Pink Sky Events of Haverhill are lending a hand and trying to take away some of the burden by offering their event organising skills – free of charge – to help boost the money raised so far.

Therefore, they have organised the Aiden’s Footsteps Charity Funday, which is to be held at the Haverhill Arts Centre from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 17th March 2012. The aim is to flood Haverhill with blue printed T-shirts for all the volunteers and a sea of balloons with the Aiden’s Footsteps logo to give away to local children. They are also planning on selling Aiden’s Footsteps wristbands and raffle tickets before the Funday, in addition to selling them on Haverhill high street and Haverhill Arts Centre on the day itself.

The Funday is going to be filled with fun and games; the organisers are looking for children’s entertainers, face painting and kids’ tattoos, along with a range of stalls aimed at children and their parents. The day will end with a fabulous performance from Haverhill’s very own Jade Donno.

However, Aiden’s Footsteps and Pink Sky Events need the support and generosity of Haverhill individuals and businesses to really make the event great. They need:

  • 10 fantastic raffle prizes
  • Gifts, vouchers and tickets to sporting, music and entertainment events for a silent auction
  • Blue printed balloons
  • Balloon sticks
  • Blue printed t-shirts
  • Blue tablecloths
  • Collection buckets
  • Printing of posters/flyers
  • Banners
  • Helium
  • Penny sweets
  • Children’s entertainers (e.g. balloon modelling, clown, etc)
  • Money towards the cost of venue, purchase of kids tattoos and other expenses

Whether you can help with a specific item or have a few spare pennies to go towards the events, every gesture or donation will make a huge difference in boosting the final amount raised.

Please be generous, Haverhill. This local family needs your support, so absolutely any help you can give will be much appreciated.

Please contact Sarah on 07884 40 40 45 or Tracy on 07868 161 335 or send them an email to lend your support.
