Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair Friday 3rd October

The Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair is taking place in Haverhill Arts Centre from 10am to 12:30pm this Friday! Local MP Matthew Hancock organised the event with the aim of bringing jobseekers and employers together. He will be on hand throughout the morning to answer any questions you might have.

Matthew Hancock will officially open the event at 10:30am. There will be two breakout sessions running on the day for members of the public to attend. The first will be a breakout session on Apprenticeships taking place at 10:10am and the second a breakout session on CV writing and interview techniques taking place at 10:45am. There are also workshops running on CV writing, interview techniques and using the internet to search for jobs. Attendees at the fair will have the opportunity to apply for current and future vacancies for both jobs and apprenticeships.

Unemployment and youth unemployment has been falling in West Suffolk and in Haverhill. There are more jobs available but there is still work to do to help Haverhill catch up with the rest of the county.

The Jobs Fair is completely free and open to everyone. If you are looking for employment, an apprenticeship or simply seeking advice on skills such as CV writing, please come along on the 3rd October.
