The Haverhill Festival, one of Suffolk’s largest and most successful arts festivals, continues this week until 1st July.
Haverhill enjoys a vibrant arts scene all year round, and this year’s festival is a celebration of the culturally rich arts scene that Haverhill has to offer.
The lively and progressive festival, funded by Haverhill Town Council, hosts a wide range of activities - both professional and amateur, and is associated with a strong tradition of excellence. It has long acted as a showcase for up and coming creative talent, while providing a platform for the big, prestigious names.
Audiences are treated to concerts, international artists, live music, renowned theatre and dance companies, blockbuster films and prev-west end productions.
Here in Haverhill, we are very proud to see such a thriving performing arts scenev- there are people all over town who are involved in societies and clubs following their passion for singing, acting and dance. Haverhill sports a number of local theatre companies, including Haverhill Arts Centre's in-house Centre Stage Company, as well as dance schools and a thriving music scene.
Haverhill also takes its place on the world stage with its very own internationally acclaimed symphony orchestra, the Haverhill Sinfonia.
Arts and culture are a vital part of the quality of life in this town where creative energy flourishes. Haverhill has justifiably earned an enviable reputation for innovation in the arts, coupled with a lively and progressive entertainment programme.
Watch the fun and engaging performances spill out onto the street as Haverhill unites in this community led festival. Many events are free, so what are you waiting for?
