The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is urging Suffolk businesses wanting to grow and create new jobs to apply for a range of grants, which have already helped many to succeed. 


To date, the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership has awarded £4.8m worth of grants to 97 businesses in Suffolk through the Growing Business Fund and Small Grant Scheme. It will attract £25m of private investment and will create over 600 new jobs in the county. 

The Growing Business Fund and Small Grant Scheme offer grants of between £5,000 and £500,000 to local businesses wanting to grow, expand and create new jobs. Both programmes are delivered in partnership with Suffolk County Council and Finance East

Smart investment for local business

Smart Garden Offices, based near Bury St Edmunds, designs, manufactures and installs purpose-built garden office and garden office buildings.

With the help of a grant of £80,000 from the Growing Business Fund, the company has invested in new premises and machinery to help meet the national demand for its products.

The company which is an East Anglia Daily Times Future50 firm is enjoying rapid business growth and will increase its staff from 20 to 28 in total.
