Free picnic fun for the family

Haverhill Leisure Centre is arranging half term fun to banish the boredom for children and parents this holiday. There will be a free community picnic on the green next to Chalkstone Community Centre, in Strasbourg Square on Wednesday 1st June between 11am and 3pm.

All families are welcome and are invited to bring a picnic and to join in the many activities on offer such as; a bouncy castle, face-painting, craft activities, Scalectrix, football, rounders and tug of war.

The picnic is supported by the borough council, CATRA (Chalkstone and Area Tenants and Residents Association), Abbey Croft Leisure, Havebury Housing, Tesco, Artheads, Carousel Children’s Centre and the Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Last year over 300 people attended so be sure not to miss out on this fabulous day of free fun suitable for all the family!

The Leisure Centre is also running holiday camps for eight to 12 year olds from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday, with morning afternoon or all day sessions available. Each camp has four activities to choose from. To book a place on the Holiday Camp call Haverhill Leisure Centre on 01440 702548 or visit www.acleisure.com
