Easter is nearly here and with the kids off school and the weather set to be fantastic, it's the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors!

From today onwards, there is a whole host of Easter-themed activities and events taking place in Haverhill, guaranteed to get you in the holiday mood, whatever your age or taste.

Thursday

Haverhill Easter Egg Hunt is taking place this afternoon at East Town Park. Starting at 2pm at the Visitor Centre, entry is £1.50 per child and includes a chocolate egg.

Friday

Why not introduce your children to the Easter Bunny this year? Hop on over to Ickworth on Friday April 22nd from 11am until 3pm and take part in Easter Bunny Day. Meet the rabbits with experts from local pet store, Pets at Home, make Easter decorations and follow the bunny trail, all for just £2.50 per child!

Alternatively, Haverhill Leisure Centre is putting on its free Easter Bonnet Parade.

Saturday

Saturday 23rd April sees the Easter Craft Fair taking place at The Arts Centre in Haverhill. Why not browse through the thousands of crafts and gifts on show, including jewellery, handbags, music memorabilia, childrens toys and much more?

Is your child into 'egg-streme' sports? Then the Great Lode Egg-Raft Race is the ideal day out! Kids are invited to come along to Anglesey Abbey in Lode, decorate an egg, build a mini-raft and then try sailing it down the Lode to win great prizes. Entry costs £2 per child plus normal garden admission.

Sunday

The whole family is invited to hear beautiful music and join in the Easter celebrations at St Mary's Church on Palm Sunday. Richard Hart will be conducting Olivet to Calvary at 6pm.
