As the days get shorter and nights get longer, there will be no ‘winter blues’ from the students and staff of Clements Primary school this term.
The Autumn Fair kicks off on the 25th November, 5pm – 7pm. Stalls this year include a variety of games, tombola, cake stalls and a raffle. Last years fair was a great success, with many members of the local community renting a stall and reporting a fantastic outcome. For just £5, stalls are available to rent once again this year – so come on and get creative, think up a wacky stall idea and make a bit of money! Call the office on 01440 702946 for information on renting a stall.
Clements also had something to celebrate last month too, as they were the Cross Country winners of the Haverhill Schools with both boys and girls coming first! The event took place at Castle Manor Business and Enterprise College on the 19th October and everyone involved had a very enjoyable afternoon!
The new Road Traffic Safety Officer, Mrs Brooks, is now seeing children across the road at the zebra crossing next to the school. A rather busy road, this will ensure that children arrive at school safely and don’t feel nervous about their journey to and from school.
Finally, some special visitors from Ghana are making a trip around the Haverhill Schools next week, including Clements. They visited Haverhill around a year ago, and Clements hope to give them another memorable time.
