Chris's brother Peter died a few weeks short of his 20th birthday from cancer. Chris was 13 at the time and knows the impact this disease has on the individuals and their family first hand.
The Teenage Cancer Trust brings young people together so they can be treated together, by teenage cancer experts, in the best place for them. They also educate young people about cancer and work with health professionals to develop their knowledge so they can improve the speed and quality of diagnosis.
And by funding research and working with their partners in the NHS, government and organisations both nationally and internationally, the Teenage Cancer Trust strive to improve survival rates.
To help raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust through sponsorship via his Just Giving page, Chris is doing the Longmynd Hike, which is a 50 mile (80 km) trek with over 8000 ft (2450 m) of climb to be completed in under 24 hours between 5th and 6th October 2013.
