Beverley Ballard, Payroll Bureau Manager at local accountants and business advisors Paul Donno & Co Ltd, has recently celebrated her tenth anniversary with the company.
Beverley returned to work in September 2001 after taking a career break of several years to have a family.
On deciding to return to the workplace Beverley was pleased to secure a position at the accountancy practice and was initially involved with providing bookkeeping services for clients. Today Beverley handles the payroll for over 90 clients and as well as bookkeeping also ensures the Company Registers of Limited Company clients are managed in accordance with statutory requirements.
In acknowledgment of Beverley’s service with Paul Donno & Co Ltd she was presented with a Mont Blanc pen, a bottle of champagne and the obligatory cakes! The team will also be enjoying a celebratory meal at the Memsaab Indian Restaurant in Lavenham to mark Beverley’s milestone.
Beverley said, “When I started working with Paul all those years ago I had no idea I would still be here 10 years on! Not quite sure where those years have gone, the time has flown by. There is a lot of job satisfaction in what I do, which is why I guess I am still here after ten years.”
Two other members of the team, Jackie Thompson and Michael Ford, have been with the practice for over ten years. Paul Donno established Paul Donno & Co in 1993 and has grown the practice very successfully over the past eighteen years.
Paul comments, “In an age where employee loyalty and jobs for life seems a feature of the past I think it is quite refreshing to find a local company with such a strong, committed and friendly team. Our team is definitely one of the reasons why we have not only survived but thrived since 1993. There is a real team spirit and whilst we have our ups and downs, like any family, a sense of humour generally pervades! We are always there pulling together for our clients to ensure they have the best possible advice and service.”
Paul Donno & Co Ltd has offices in Glemsford and Haverhill and work closely and are accredited by Sage to sell Sage accountancy and CRM solutions and training.
