Morrison Utility Services have always shown strong support when it comes to the rehabilitation agenda and providing offenders with employment on release. However, with their new employer’s forum event, they aim to get other companies and organisations involved with the government agenda of 'Breaking the Cycle.'

The 'Breaking the Cycle' Employer’s Forum Event is to be held at Morrison Utility Services' Training Centre at Symonds Farm, Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, on Thursday 1st December 2011 from 9.30am to 11.30am. The event aims to build upon past links made with local employers and to discuss just how HMP Highpoint can develop these relationships further to create a wider range of opportunities for offenders on release.

It is also a great way to find networking opportunities to enable members to understand the full potential benefits of working with offenders, not only after they are released, but before too. The event also offers an insight to just how many businesses are already contributing the government agenda of 'Breaking the Cycle' and reducing re-offending, thus enabling businesses to demonstrate cooperate social responsibility.

Businesses from all levels can attend, including those that have never worked with the agenda before and those that have done for many years. Morrison Utility Services believes that offering the opportunity of employment to offenders greatly reduces the chance of re-offending, providing them with a route back into society. They encourage businesses and organisations to think the same and help tackle this strong social issue.
