An evening of fabulous music, food and dancing has raised nearly £800 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Top band Rinaldi Express played sounds from the 60s to the 90s at The Taste of China, in Birdbrook, on Saturday, 26 February , in aid of the Hospice.

The event was a sell-out, with Dave Rinaldi, of Rinaldi Express, saying they could have sold a further 60 tickets had there been room for all those who wanted to attend.

“We really were thrilled with how it went - we had a great response from all the people there on the night,” he said.

“It is the first time we’ve held a night in aid of the Hospice, but it is such a good cause. We try to do one charity gig every year, and this year it was the turn of the Hospice. We were delighted to be able to help.”

On Friday, 4 March , Ian Norris, Hospice Community Fundraiser, met Dave at the Hospice shop in Haverhill High Street to thank him for the band’s efforts.

“Everyone who attended enjoyed outstanding music and a great atmosphere. The Hospice is grateful to them all – and, of course Rinaldi Express and The Taste of China – for their generosity,” said Ian.
