Haverhill has many great new and long-established independent retailers in town, yet no matter how long you’ve been trading and how exemplary your reputation is, we are going through an incredibly difficult trading period, which has seen many big names stumble and fall.
Recognising that there is a need for support and training to survive and thrive through this harsh economic climate, Kent Business School is offering a programme of FREE training classes at the Haverhill Arts Centre, in conjunction with Destination Haverhill. The programme is specifically aimed at increasing footfall, sales and profit and is led by the Business School’s Debbie Kemp, with the support of local experts.
These Master Classes will also encourage a supportive environment in which retailers can share their views and concerns, and work towards collectively improving customer experience when shopping in Haverhill, ensuring that more residents shop locally in the future.
There are two Master Classes coming up in May:
Multi-Channel Marketing and Retailing
Monday 14th May 2012
10am – 12pm
Haverhill Arts Centre
This session will identify how web-site design and marketing can increase sales by increasing customer awareness of your business and driving more footfall into your business. It will also cover how to use social media to engage with loyal and new customers.
The Shopping Experience: Visual Merchandising and Customer Service
Monday 21st May 2012
10am – 12pm
Haverhill Arts Centre
The aim of this session is to determine how visual merchandising and store layout can be planned to improve the customers’ shopping experience and increase sales. It will also cover different approaches to customer service which add value to the product offer and encourage your staff to engage with your customers.
Sessions are aimed at store managers and owners of independent retail stores in Haverhill; up to two other members of your staff are also welcome.
Please contact Debbie Kemp on 07533 788 480 or by sending her an email to book your place on one of the Master Classes – and please don’t forget to mention thebestof Haverhill when you do!
