The Olympic Torch Relay arrives in Haverhill from Saffron Walden on Saturday 7th July on Day 50 of its 70 day journey to the Olympic Stadium.

The route

The flame will pass to the first torch bearer at 14.38 at Burton End, near Burton End Community School. It will continue across an event on the Recreation Ground, through the market on the High 

Street and into the Jubilee Plaza next to the Leisure Centre.

Road Closures

Swan Lane will be closed all day.

There will be a rolling road closure along the whole route starting about 10 minutes before the convoy arrives and lasting for about 20 minutes, or as long as torch takes to pass through:

Holders of Residents Parking Permits in affected roads have been written to with advice about the suspension of parking.

Haverhill Market

The market will be held in the Market Square and in Swan Lane and not along the High Street.
