In the last decade, business networking has exploded in the UK, with hundreds of groups and organisations springing up across the country.
Many take place first thing in the morning, which is ideal for early birds or those without young children, but what about those of us who often have early meetings, have spent half the night trying to settle a young child or simply don’t function properly until midday?
Office Drinks is the answer – an evening networking event that is run by small business owners to suit the needs of other small business owners.
Informal and friendly, Office Drinks are designed to give attendees (AKA Office Drinkers) the same relaxed feeling they’d have when enjoying office drinks after a hard day at work, yet the format has enough structure to enable people to successfully do business with each other.
Up to 25 local business owners will attend the monthly event, with five people around each table. The evening is structured so that every ten to fifteen minutes of group ‘chats’, everyone moves on to another table, enabling all the attendees to speak to one another.
There is also a pub quiz to reinforce the sense of fun and informality, with answers provided at the end of the evening.

Office Drinks in Haverhill is run by Elaine Carr, an experienced marketing consultant who established FlipFlop Marketing Ltd in 2002 and took on thebestof Haverhill in 2010. She is looking forward to the launch of Office Drinks in October and invites you to join her for a fun, lively and rewarding monthly networking event, which doesn’t take place at some unearthly time in the morning.
There is no membership fee and events range from just £9 to £15. Simply pay to attend the event you want and come along!
