Six local optometrists who work at Specsavers Opticians Market Street have obtained top marks in a UK qualification that they pursued in addition to their required optometrist training.
The six Specsavers Opticians staff members took their Acute Eye Care Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre (WOPEC) practical examinations, and all candidates passed with flying colours.
Sarah Burchett, Director of Specsavers Opticians Market Street, explains: "Keeping up to date with clinical advances in this way are key to bringing enhanced optical services to the people of Guernsey by the best trained optometrists. All our optometrists are now Level 2 Acute Eye Care accredited."
Sarah also related how staff member Jason Sauvary had fully qualified as a dispensing optician after over three years of study: "It's a gruelling and intense course and he gained a distinction. We are exceptionally proud that Jason has done so well on his course and in his exams. He truly is a credit to the store and the team, and deserves to be recognised for this fantastic result!"
Congratulations to Jason and all of the successful candidates, and remember to discover more about Specsavers Opticians Market Street be sure to check out their feature page here at thebestof Guernsey.
