One Destination - Two Complementary Businesses

An open evening for two businesses - The Day Salon and Sport and Remedial Massage Clinic was held last night so we went along to see why these two businesses work perfectly alongside each other on Collings Road.

Parking was available right outside and there was live demonstrations, treatments, refreshments, a raffle and goody bags.  Donations were welcome and all money raised is going to Les Bourgs Hospice and Sport Relief.

The Day Salon:

Racheal Day and her team were giving live demonstrations and treatments and a professional from Elemis was available to answer any questions on the range.

A CACI non surgical face treatment was being demonstrated in one treatment room.  CACI are face and body treatments which lift, tone and redefine face and body contours targeting wrinkles, acne, blemishes and stretch marks delivering results without surgery.  It is best if you book a course of several treatments in regular succsession and then top up treatments to prolong the results.

There was a colourful display of Gelish Soak Off Gel Polish which is applied like a polish and performs like a gel.  Rachael informed us that Gelish will last on nails for up to 3 weeks with a high shine so no chipping, peeling and maintenance.  It produces completely natural results whilst protecting the natural nail.  Gelish sounds perfect if you are going away on holiday.

I was offered an Audrey Hepburn Sweep - eyelash extension by Katie who added just a few lashes on the outside corners of my eyes for the sweep affect.  Katie had previously applied an eyelash tint so that my own lashes were black, to match the extensions.

Each lash was applied directly to an individual lash using a harmless adhesive.  My lashes look great and really natural.  The Sweep is ideal for someone looking for something a little bit glamorous for that special night out or romantic weekend away.  It's also a great way to introduce eyelash extensions without going for the full extension treatment.  Katie gave me an aftercare leaflet with helpful tips to ensure they are long lasting and continue to look good.  If well cared for they can last several weeks - perfect for the Christmas party season.

Offers:

The Day Salon have some fantastic offers on until the end of November exclusive to our members, so why not treat yourself to a pre-Christmas treatment or buy a gift voucher for your secret Santa.

Sport and Remedial Massage Clinic:

Carol Harvey and her two therapists were on hand giving live demonstrations of deep tissue, maternity and acupressure treatments.  15 minute treatments were also on offer and healthy smoothies.

A Seated Acupressure Massage was being demonstrated which is a fully clothed massage in an ergonomically designed chair which can be performed at your workplace, an event or at the SRMC treatment rooms.  These short acupressure massage treatments work on the muscular, circulatory and nervous systems, stimulating over 60 specific pressure points on the head, neck, shoulders, back and arms.  Perfect if you are thinking of offering your staff treatments which relieve stress, tension, fatigue and headaches when they only have 20 minutes spare in their lunch breaks.

In one of the treatment rooms, Carol has set up a pregnancy massage couch which is wonderful for pre and post-natal massage treatments with special holes for the bump and chest.  SRMC's primary concern is the comfort and safety of their clients.  I had a lie down on the couch and found it very comfortable and worryingly enough, all my bits seemed to fit!

I was also offered a 15 minute massage therapy treatment by Carol to show me the basics of what you would expect from a full treatment at SRMC.  I was told that my shoulders were very tight, my shoulder blades were out of line and that I do not lie flat because at the moment my right hip is out of line.  Sounded like I was all a bit out of line so I've booked myself a full remedial and deep tissue massage treatment with Carol next week and I can't wait.

The reception had some products on display which would make perfect Christmas stocking fillers including pedi rollers, massage sticks, Omni massage rollers, spiky foot massage balls, press balls and Bio-Freeze gel.

Carol had just had a delivery of gift vouchers which would also make a great secret Santa present.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these two complementary businesses and sample some of their services.  WE are definitely going back to both!
