Offshore Consulting have expanded their services and appointed Director Chris Corcoran to their new venture - Offshore Compliance Services (Guernsey) Limited.

Within the ever-changing regulatory environment, Offshore Compliance Services aims to guide and consult with their clients to find the best solution for progression.
They are focused on servicing the needs of the Guernsey Finance Industry with their professional approach and knowledge.

Compliance Services Director, Chris Corcoran formed Offshore Compliance (Guernsey) Ltd having left his position at Kleinwort Benson (Channel Islands) Fund Services Ltd as Compliance Officer and MLRO in November 2011.
Chris was born and educated in Canada, but has strong family ties to Guernsey. In 2000 his affiliation with the island was defined when he returned to Guernsey and started working in the local Financial Services industry. Chris started to specialise in compliance in 2003 when he accepted a role at Investec as a Compliance Analyst. The role was comprised of a number of different projects including outsourcing of entities and dealing with the ensuing regulatory requirements.
Over the next few years Chris undertook various other compliance focused roles within the industry including compliance supervisor at HSBC Securities Services Ltd, Close Fund Services Ltd and Credit Suisse Fund Administration Ltd. Chris moved to EFG in 2008 where he was responsible for reviewing and revising the policies, procedures and controls surrounding the compliance department.
Chris joined Kleinwort Benson (Channel Islands) Fund Services Ltd in 2009 as a senior controls specialist and subsequently was appointed as named Compliance Officer and MLRO on 8 POI licensed fund boards.
Chris has strong interpersonal and project management skills. He possesses a very positive approach and a sound knowledge of industry standards across fund administration, banking and local and international legislation. Chris has undertaken the international Diploma in Compliance through ICA and Manchester Business School and is a professional member of the International Compliance Association.
