The second session of thebestof Guernsey's "Guernsey Means Business" initiative was held last week at Les Douvres, comprising a talk by Diane de Garis from de garis accounting covering cloud-based accounting solutions using the excellent Xero software suite.

This seminar was well attended by a wide variety of local businesses and we have had lots of positive feedback from attendees, including:

"Diane gave an excellent presentation on cloud accounting. The material was clear and easy to understand. Superb session and very useful." - Marianne

"Diane provided an excellent overview of Xero and the benefits of it and cloud accounting to a small business at thebestof Guernsey event today." - Amanda

"I attended thebestof Guernsey's 'Guernsey Means Business' event on cloud accounting and found it very informative and clear. Diane gave a good presentation." - Natalie

Les Douvres was a great location for this event and the attendees got to enjoy some beautiful Xero-branded cupcakes (see photo below), made by The Cake Lady, that were provided by Diane.

Diane will follow up with all of the attendees who wish to start using Xero apps. Due to existing demand it is extremely likely that Diane will run this seminar again, so please contact us (see below) if you are interested in attending.

If you would like to attend future sessions of "Guernsey Means Business" then please express your interest by emailing Nicole at nicole.guernsey@thebestof.co.uk.

Attendance to these sessions is completely FREE for thebestof Guernsey business members, and potential/prospective members who have already been in touch with us. If you are a local business interested in becoming a member of thebestof Guernsey, joining our mutually beneficial circle of associated local businesses, then please email Rick at guernsey@thebestof.co.uk.

We are also still interested in hearing from existing members who would like us to use their venue for upcoming events, or who would like to speak at one of these events to share their expertise and experiences with fellow members - in both cases please also contact Nicole at the email address above.

Our next "Guernsey Means Business" session is "Getting thebestof Your Membership" and will be hosted by Rick himself on Wednesday 1st March 2017 from 10.30am until 12.00pm. This session will cover how to make the most of thebestof Guernsey business membership and our varied marketing services, whether you are an existing member or a potential member.
