"GUERNSEY MEANS BUSINESS" GETS OFF TO A GREAT START
5th January 2017

This series of seminars for local businesses, hosted by us here at thebestof Guernsey, got off to a great start last month with an inaugural session on Social Media.

The first seminar on the subject of Social Media, and how local businesses can make the most of it, took place in December and was presented by Nicole Bromley.

We have had some great positive feedback from this inaugural session, such as:

"I thought thebestof Guernsey's 'Guernsey Means Business' session on social media was a great reminder of things I need to do. It covered just what I was hoping for and I am looking forward to putting bits into action in the new year. I would recommend it to others." - Rachael

"I recently attended thebestof Guernsey's social media tips session and found it well presented and would recommend it to others. I would be interested in a longer session with more detail on LinkedIn in the future. Many thanks." - Alan

Following the session attendees have been taking us up on our offer of a FREE social media health check, to help their business manage their own online profile and brand. With our ongoing assistance members will be able to ensure that their business gets the most exposure, and the best reputation possible, from their online presence.

This first event was very well attended by our business members and prospective members. In fact some members were unable to attend this first session so we are planning on running another session on Social Media in the near future.

If you would like to attend this future session then please express your interest by emailing Nicole at nicole.guernsey@thebestof.co.uk and ask to be put on the waiting list for the next session.

Attendance to these sessions is completely FREE for our business members, so there has never been a better time to become a member of thebestof Guernsey. If you are a local business interested in getting involved, and joining our mutually beneficial circle of associated local businesses, then please email Rick at guernsey@thebestof.co.uk.

We are also interested in hearing from existing members who would like us to use their own venue for upcoming events. Also, in the spirit of ongoing cooperation between all of the business members of thebestof Guernsey, if you are a member and would like to speak at a future Guernsey Means Business session, to share your expertise with your fellow members, then please also contact Nicole at the email address above.

The next session of Guernsey Means Business takes place later this month on Wednesday 25th January 2016. This second session covers the topic of Cloud Accounting and the speaker will be local accountant Diane de Garis of de garis accounting Limited. Check the event listing here for further details.
