Tuesday 5th April saw the climax of The Best of Guernsey's - 14 DAYS OF LOVE campaign with a presentation held at Baan Thai restaurant.
This is the second year for thebestof's 14 Days of Love campaign but 2011 is the first year where a presentation has been organised by The Best of Guernsey. This year local businesses really backed the campaign and the results speak for themself.
We all felt that the business members who did so well really deserved to be praised and congratulated on their efforts at a presentation and it doubled up as a small networking opportunity too.
Several Best of Guernsey business members were invited to the presentation for placing in the ‘Top 5 Most Loved Businesses in their category in the UK’. and the ‘Top 5 Most Loved Businesses in Guernsey’ to receive their awards.
It seemed apt that the presentation was held at the Baan Thai restaurant run by Kuhn Saitong and Stuart Mauger as they were voted by local people as the ‘Most Loved Business in Guernsey’. They hosted the evening amazingly making everyone feel so welcome and provided a delicious buffet of food.
The atmosphere really was one of celebration and so great to see business owners supporting other local businesses in their efforts. Some attendees commented on how they had also met new people and contacts.
It was rewarding for those who took part to place against UK businesses with some even winning their category making them the Most Loved Business in their category in the whole of the UK - a fantastic result and great PR for these organisations.
Business members are now being encouraged to continue obtaining testimonials from their customers / clients to help towards the 2012 14 Days of Love campaign which we hope will be bigger than this year with more top category placings being won by Guernsey businesses.
