We had afternoon tea at the Crown Club and it was lovely, perfect service, cream tea for her and lobster roll for me. Highly recommended.

We chose this venue for a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine for a tenner. It's Tennerfest after all.
Service is excellent, ambience is fantastic, private and intimate atmosphere. Food also excellent if you are satisfied with a third of a child's portion. Ten deep fried gnocchi do not a meal make. They were delicious but by our estimation one pack of Waitrose gnocchi could make five Tennerfest meals. We went to Checkers afterwards to fill up on microwave burger and hot dog. We were starving. Nice wine, nice staff, just not enough food for anybody who likes tea of an evening. Off to Waitrose to see how many gnocchi you get in a packet. ..

I visited this hotel and The Crown Club bar, for a refreshing drink whilst on a cruise ship stop in Guernsey . The venue is charming and opulent. The service from Ephraim was excellent and the drinks likewise. David the F&B Manager took time to talk to us about the island the the hotel, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. A lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon. I would deffinately go back!

We decided to visit this fairly new place, as we fancied a light lunch. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. There is seating both inside and out and everything is very casual, with low coffee tables, so it is not so much of a 'restaurant' as a charming place to eat, or you can just spend time over a drink or afternoon tea. We chose their lobster baguette and were not disappointed. The bread was warm and the lobster cut into small pieces and mixed with a wonderfully rich and thick marie-rose sauce. Some lettuce and more sauce on the side, together with a basket of perfectly cooked thin French fries. Not quite as light as we had planned, but well worth trying. There were several items on the menu that we fancied and will definitely be back.

This is a great venue for a cocktail or two. Keith is very welcoming and knowledgeable. He mixed a great chocolate martini and classic champagne cocktail.
The food menu is simple and perfect for the setting. Try the lobster roll!Thank you for making Dex so welcome too!

I am "local", and a few friends and I who normally meet up for a coffee on Saturday morning decided to go to the OGH for a change, based on photos by another friend on Facebook.
We wended our way through this distinguished hotel to the Crown Club, where we were immediately made welcome and also knew that our ever need was being attended to.Very comfortable, I like the old-style, almost "colonial" feel to the hotel. We had a thoroughly enjoyable morning and left feeling refreshed and invigorated!

We've been in on a couple of occasions both for coffee during the afternoon in the beautifully lit conservatory and also on an evening for drinks in the Crown Club. This is the newer part to the hotel, which some may not be familiar with. Which is a shame because it's beautiful! Brass bar, extensive alcohol selection, and very friendly attentive staff (we had one pleasurable encounter with a young english bartender who made our time there just that extra bit special, she definitely made us want to return!) To receive this attention as just a passing guest and not a resident of the hotel was just lovely, yes you may pay extra for this type of detail but its unlike anywhere else on the Island.
