Tucked away on Mill Street in the heart of St Peter Port, Baan Thai is a little gem. It’s not a big place — just about half a dozen tables — so it feels cozy and intimate from the moment you walk in. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for with big flavours and seriously tasty meals.
I’d advise booking your table in advance though. It fills up quickly, and you can see why.
The menu has plenty to choose from. Fancy something with a kick? There are plenty of spicy options. Prefer it milder? No problem at all — there’s lots that isn’t so spicy too, and every dish is packed with authentic Thai taste.
The staff were amazing. Nothing was any trouble for them. They were welcoming, attentive, and really knew the menu. The service was spot on all evening, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The whole restaurant was spotless.
The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. Portions were generous and beautifully presented.
For a small spot with such heart, Baan Thai delivers a big experience. Well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back.

a bit pricey for a small serving of food. milk teas are top-notch, but they use A LOT of ice, the next thing you know it’s only ice left in the cup, about more than half of the cup. if you ask for no ice, expect that the amount of your drink will also drop considerably.

I have been to Baan Thai a few times now and enjoyed the food and drink thoroughly each time. I’ve tried a bunch of different bubble teas - strawberry, brown sugar, and Thai tea, and they were all so good! They are made with a lot of care, especially the brown sugar which has a torched crunchy sugar topping.
I went today to try and the food, and it was really excellent! We ended up getting the party menu as everything looked so good. There are several varieties of “party menu” which offer a combination of starter and main dishes. They are about £26-30pp. We loved every single one of our starters and mains. We have come from London and tried lots of nice Thai restaurants here and Baan Thai food quality is really excellent. The service is great too, food was served promptly and staff are polite and friendly.
Will definitely return.

Really lovely homemade food, friendly staff and good vibes. Well seasoned food. Good 0lace to get Bubble Tea. Had the Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai and Chang Mai Sausage, which added a great spicy kick to other dishes. The genuine warmth from the ladies working made the experience something special.

Thai restaurants abroad One of the Thai restaurants in England that is very delicious, like eating in Thailand. If you like spicy flavors, I recommend Menu, Sai Ua and Hang Lay Curry. The food that I like most in the restaurant is Panang and Chicken Green Curry ❤️❤️❤️🇹🇭
