Here’s what going on in and around Farnham over the next couple of weeks, there really is something for everyone.

Friday 10 November

Armistice Day Commemoration  Service of remembrance at Gostrey Meadow with children from local schools. The Mayor of Farnham Councillor Mike Hodge and Mr Hugh Riley JP DL will also be attending and members of the public are very welcome. 

Blue Haze - Live at The Plough  Another great weekend of live music at one of Farnham's favourite music venues. 

Plus - to celebrate the launch of the new Plough menu you can enjoy a Free Wine or Larger with Every Headliner Burger! Purchased! Offer applies to meals purchased on Friday 10th November and Saturday 11th November only.

Saturday 11 November

Farnham Repair Café  This event is open to all volunteers either if you have repair skills or want to fix a product, create art or product from waste.

Close Thing - live at The Plough  Close Thing have a versatile repertoire ranging from the 50’s through to the early 80’s, this will be a great night out.

Weave a Memory Bag  Creative Workshops from Jo Aylwin Studio and Gallery. Booking required.

Christmas Craft Fair  Always looking for Christmas present inspiration and something just a little bit different? You might just find it at the Rural Life Centre Christmas craft fair.

Octavian Singers Vivaldi's Gloria and other sacred Music  Free concert at the Farnham United Reformed Church. All donations will be gratefully accepted and go towards the Pilgrim Project, a major project to refurbish Farnham United Reformed Church and turn it into a modern community hub.

Monday 13 November

Knit 'n' Natter  Hosted by Farnham Assist at St Andrews Parish Meeting Rooms, you are invited to pop in with your own knitting or knit for a local charity.

Tuesday 14 November

Music while you Munch  Enjoy a lunchtime organ recital St Andrew’s Parish Church.

Wednesday 15 November

Crocus Planting in Wrecclesham  Meeting at Wrecclesham Recreational Ground from 10am you are invited to join volunteers planting 2000 crocus bulbs!

Music Explored - Illustrated Lunchtime Piano Recitals  Local composer Matthew introduces each work with an informative talk which is then illustrated with a wonderful piano recital and there is time for discussion and questions at the end. Entrance £7.00.

Thursday 16 November

Bears at the Packhouse Breakfast Networking Join local businesses for informal networking at breakfast from 8.00am until 9.30am at Bears Restaurant, Farnham. If you are a business and want to find out more about Instagram and whether it will work for you, then come along to November's talk with John Brooker.

Venison Dinner at Farnham Castle  Tickets are now on sale for this traditional dinner that has been held in Farnham for over 400 years.

The Curator's Cut - Evening Talk  The Museum of Farnham is hosting a free evening talk with Margaret Birley, Keeper of Musical Instruments at the Horniman Museum and Gardens.

Saturday 18 November

Farnham Christmas Lights Switch On 2017  Gostrey Meadow will host an action packed afternoon between 1pm and 6pm.

Rock Choir Concert  The concert starts at 5pm after the Christmas Lights switch-on.  Grab a hot or cold drink and mince pie and enjoy this fantastic feel-good choir. 

Hale Art Group Winter Exhibition  The Hale Art Group annual exhibition and art sale featuring around 20 local artists with exhibits available to view and buy. Admission is free, parking is free and refreshments available to purchase.

Sunday 19 November

Acoustic Evening  Farnham ASSIST charity is holding a fundraising Acoustic night with the talented Nathan Churchill at Brasserie Blanc, Farnham. The price of £20 includes a 2 course set menu meal and live music.

Monday 20 November

Blood Donation Sessions  Generally healthy? Aged 17 or over? Then do something amazing and Give Blood. Sessions at Farnham Maltings.

Tuesday 21 November

Phyllis Tuckwell Christmas Gift Fair  Over 40 quality stalls will be selling gifts for the home, fashions, cosmetics, jewellery, books, candles, food.. and many more ideas for Christmas.

Thursday 23 November

Teed Up  A night of Blues with Boogaloo Promotions at the Farnham Maltings
