A new millionaire was created at Exeter Racecourse when it held its first ever free raceday for residents with an EX postcode last March, and the track is repeating the offer on Tuesday, March 6.
Last year, Steven Whiteley won the Tote Jackpot having come racing to Exeter with a free ticket and taken advantage of the racecourse’s free bus service from the city. Now the course will repeat the offer, as well as adding free racedays later in the spring for those with a PL postcode (March 20) and a TQ postcode (April 17) to its calendar.
General manager Alice Everitt said: “Apart from Steven Whiteley becoming a millionaire, our Newcomer’s raceday last year was a tremendous success with many new racaegoers taking advantage of the free offer and enjoying their first ever raceday experience. We are adding two extra free postcode offers later in the spring. It creates a fantastic atmosphere and people really seem to get into the spirit of a great day out enjoying fantastic sporting action.”
For newcomers to racing on March 6 there’s a chance to find out what goes on behind the scenes on a racecourse with our free tour at 12.30pm plus get tips on the day’s racing, including how to bet, from ex-jockey and racing pundit Luke Harvey.
