I have been here for a Sunday carvery several times with my family and cannot fault the excellent service and politeness we receive every time.The carvery is excellent with a good range of different quality meats and and a wide selection of vegetables to suit all palates.The place has a great ambience which has been created by the staff with there great service and with the big log fire and great views of the downs i would highly recommend this venue for a very relaxing sunday lunch

Played Golf at the very testing Willingdon Golf club yesterday. After playing e ate in the club restaurant. We had arranged for them to provide a Carvery followed by a bread and butter pudding. Both were excellent. the meat was cooked to perfection. My beef was amongst the best I have ever tasted and the pudding was to die for. This was served by the Chef who was extremely welcoming and accommodating together with a very courteous and helpful waitress. Having found the course beat me it was a great to come in and ghave one's spirits lifted by the food and a drink at a well run bar. It is worth adding that the starter -of the golf not food - was also very welcoming and helpful. All in all despite my golf a great experience.

Tonight I attended the Mayor’s Christmas Charity event at Willingdon Golf Club. It was a brilliant night and getting to experience what the club has to offer as a function venue was great. The entertainment was excellent and the whole evening when to plan (if it did not it certainly did not show)

A secret find ! Tucked away and not well known this Sunday Carvery in outstanding with magnificent views overlooking the course and excellent food with service to match. Reasonably priced, you have to book to get a table on Sundays. Weekdays, the upstairs Mackenzie Lounge serves light lunches and drinks with even more magnificent views. What's not to like ?!

If you want one of the best golf courses in England to play I suggest this one. As an 8 handicapper I found this course absolutely beautiful, but if you're like my brother a 22 handicapper who also absolutely adores this course found it almost impossible to walk all the way around because it is so Hilly and has such an amazing change in topography you honestly will not be disappointed but get a buggy.

If I could play this golf course everyday I would possibly be the happiest man on the planet.
