Massive thank you to the lovely Lou at Ordinary Climbers Club in Polgate 😄 I was a complete beginner, never even touched a climbing wall before! And now I’ve been to the past two women’s night’s which Lou has led and I can honestly say it’s fantastic 🥰 She explains everything so well and makes you feel really relaxed and comfortable. There’s no pressure and you take everything at your own pace. There’s another lovely staff member, I think they’re called Vicky and she makes really fab snacks!! 😁 I have only ever been on women’s night so I don’t know about the rest of the time but the really kind and patient staff have built a really lovely and supportive atmosphere and I would highly recommend!!!❤️ I also have Autism and ADHD plus many social and environmental difficulties and am huuuuuuuuuugley anxious by basically everything haha, at first I was terrified and I was on my own and didn't know anyone but have felt totally welcomed and comfortable here and will definitely be coming back every month 🥰👍👍 If you’re thinking about it - go for it - you can do it!!!!😄🧗‍♀️🎉💕

A fantastic experience, even as a beginner. My Wife and I both attended last week, never been climbing before. 90 minutes for great value & it was so much fun, we both thoroughly enjoyed our time & will certainly be back. Ryan made us feel very comfortable as beginners, talking us through everything whilst pushing us to our limits. 100% recommend.

My son had his 6th birthday party at Ordinary Climbers today. He and his friends absolutely loved every minute of it. The activity instructor was great with the kids, keeping them entertained throughout with a range of climbing practice and games. The booking process was easy, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had plenty of time to enjoy food and cake in the adjoining room afterwards. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Did the Ordinary Climbers course. 1.5 hours with Ryan, who's an absolute legend. Super supportive, very enthusiastic and made sure I left the place filled with confidence. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get stuck into climbing, or even if their just after a flavour to see what it's like. 10/10

We had an excellent time. We did an instructed session with Rocky, who was friendly and knowledgeable. He catered for our different abilities to make sure we were challenged, but did not feel any pressure to do moves that we were not comfortable with. I would thoroughly recommend it. After we watch the film Free Solo, but I do not feel any of us will be climbing El Capitan any time soon.

Once upon a time in the quaint town of Polegate, nestled between rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, two friends named Matt and Edd shared a passion for rock climbing. They dreamed of creating a space where people of all ages and skill levels could come together to pursue their love for climbing. And so, they embarked on a journey to establish "The Ordinary Climbers," a rock climbing gym that would become a hub for the local community.

Matt and Edd, both experienced climbers, poured their enthusiasm into building the gym. They converted an old warehouse into a vibrant climbing space adorned with colorful holds and challenging routes. The gym's name reflected their vision - a place for ordinary people with an extraordinary passion for climbing.

From the very beginning, Matt and Edd wanted their gym to be more than just a training ground. They aimed to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among the climbers. The Ordinary Climbers became a melting pot of individuals united by their love for scaling heights.

The gym offered a variety of climbing walls catering to beginners and seasoned climbers alike. Every nook and cranny was designed to provide a unique challenge, ensuring that climbers of all skill levels could find routes suited to their abilities. Whether someone was a first-time climber or a seasoned pro, there was always a warm welcome at The Ordinary Climbers.

As word spread through Polegate and beyond, people from all walks of life flocked to the gym. Families came for weekend adventures, teenagers found a place to test their limits, and seasoned climbers sought refuge in the challenging routes. The gym's inclusive atmosphere made it easy for beginners to connect with experienced climbers, creating a mentorship dynamic that enriched the climbing experience for everyone involved.

Matt and Edd organized regular events such as climbing competitions, movie nights, and community outreach programs. They believed in giving back to the town that had embraced their vision. The gym became a hub for social activities, and friendships blossomed among the chalk-covered walls.

On any given day, the sound of laughter, encouragement, and the clinking of carabiners echoed through The Ordinary Climbers.
