I love this place and is by far the best place to eat in Eastbourne. The food is fantastic, creative and delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The puddings are scrumptious and I often have one even when there is no room left in the waistband. The place is beautiful. It is a wonderful restaurant and I am not even a vegetarian.
An intimate and friendly vegetarian/vegan restaurant where the food is excellent. For the evening menu, there is a choice between two options for starter, main and desert, which I love as it reduces a lot of the decision making at the start of the meal allowing you to relax and enjoy the personal welcome and ambiance. Booking is essential as the evening menu is only served on Fridays and Saturdays and the vegan option needs to be specified in advance. They are open for lunch at other times.
By far may favorite restaurant - not just in Eastbourne but in Europe! Food is fantastic, staff lovely, atmosphere very pleasant and reasonably priced. We travel a long way to eat there (from Sevenoaks) but we are now far more likely to visit both in summer and out of season. A pleasure to eat there. I am glad we discovered it. Congratulations to the small team that run it.
The food here can be made gluten free and vegan whilst maintaining great flavour and texture. The lunch salads are refreshing and deliciously creative. The dinner menus are equally tasty and satisfying. The staff are caring and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and cosy especially welcoming in winter. Well done!
I came to Eastbourne for work and discovered this incredible bistro for a Friday evening menu. The starter was light , colourful and tasty then the main course was a joy for the eyes and the stomach and finally the dessert was delicious.I decided I would eat at The Green Almond for my 5 day stay in England .So I came back the next day andthedays after to taste the soup and the buffet at lunch time and in the evening for the set menu .What a joy !

The best vegetarian and vegan food around. We travel from London to visit to eat here as it is so delicious. The set menu is always perfect and offers an amazing selection that is seasonal, great friendly personalised service, and a lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to return again!
I had lunch here a few weeks ago and it was lovely. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked as it was really busy with everyone enjoying the great food. The staff were very friendly and explain how they whole system worked. Really want to go for dinner one night too. Highly recommend.

The Green Almond is the only restaurant on the planet, let alone Eastbourne, that can get me out of the house on a cold, damp, freezing December night for their delicious 'perfect' every time food!
When my husband was diagnosed with Cancer in January 2017 we decided to follow a vegan diet. Since then we have eaten at the Green Almond 4/5 times a week and Tony has thrived. Andrew is very creative and offers a wonderful variety of delicious food each day. Thank you so much Andrew and Karmen you have created a truly brilliant restaurant.
It's so lovely to have a vegetarian restaurant here in Eastbourne. The food is exceptionally tasty and you are always assured of a warm welcome. I love the buffet-style of menu. Christmas Dinner is also very special.
This lovely little restaurant is an absolute gem. Easily the best eating place in town for vegetarians or vegans, the food served at the Green Almond has been a huge hit with everyone I've been there with - and that includes committed carnivores. The reason is simple: it's all completely fresh, with ususual combinations of flavours and textures. They work hard at being innovative and the six or seven different salads on the daily buffet reflect this. The menu changes daily, and makes use of seasonal vegetables and local produce. The lunchtime buffet is great value, and in the evening the whole character of the place changes with twinkly lights and an a la carte menu. 'Booking essential' really says it all!
