Sovereign Harbour Marina is worth a visit, but not worth going out of your way for. It's a pleasant place for a leisurely walk around the harbour, but it can be very quiet, particularly in the evening. A selection of restaurants and a nearby retail park offer something to pass the time but I wouldn't describe it as a must visit location.

Came today with my dad, his wife and my boyfriend and it was a really lovely afternoon out!! We live about an hour away near gatwick and it was definitely worth the drive!
My dad and his wife come here about once a month for dinner and they love it!
Very relaxing atmosphere, lots of lovely restaurants/ shops.
The shops are nice, various items and various prices! One shop sells all different things, photoframes, chest of drawers, clocks, clothes, jewellery etc but all reasonably priced!! I brought some sterling silver studs for £12 so not to bad at all!
We walked around the harbour which was a really lovely walk, watched the boats coming in and out and we had a walk along the beach!
Definitely worth a visit, and once you've been here it's worth a visit to beachy head!! Fantastic views on offer!!

lovely area to visit, with retail park for shopping for clothes and things, also abundance of eateries, from Chinese, Italian, and harvester pub, all surrounded by lovely harbourside and all the boats, Make sure to catch a bus from Eastbourne, as over 1 hour to walk all the way

Went to Sovereign Harbour Marina whilst staying at Pevensey Bay and thought it a bit of a waste of time.

Its a Marina with plenty of boats and overpriced Restaurants & Shops.

Did not stay too long and overall a bit disappointed with the whole affair.

I can imagine that if you are Nautical minded then your overall view might be different to mine so to be fair, what's not my cup of tea might turn out to be a pleasurable experience for others.

This place is terrible to get to from Eastbourne sea front by public transport. What a shame for tourists.
Once there plenty to see and restaurants and cafes. Good for photos

We walk dogs here as there is no mud and they stay clean , you can do any number of different walks here not just a loop around , there is food, toilets, including disabled and it is really flat . Seats are located most of the way round. You can park at the Crumbles shopping center walk to the marina in 5 mins. follow that to the seafront and walk all the way in to town along the prom if your a walker.1.5 to 2 hours max .

New apartments and harbour. . lock system to get boats in and out. Lots of restaurants with views over the harbour. Plus the usual suspects at the shopping centre behind the harbour. Beautiful to sit and see but, needs time to gain character.

I am local to Eastbourne and have spent many of times down the harbour. Simply italian being my favourite restaurant and just gorgeous when the weather is nice to sit outside. In fact all the restaurants there are lovely. My children enjoy walking around the harbour and watching the boats do their thing.
Really lovely place

Nice walks, but rather untidy in places, water rather stagnant in corners, does any body collect any litter up from around here ?
The harvester avoid, grubby cheap food not is not so cheap!
The other resturants not that special, as seem to cater for in and out A S A P, I feel that they are not to concerned re the holiday makers, as new lot arrive every few week weeks!, and the local who do not want to drive for what ever reasons, say very little. No fine dining around for miles.

The harbour is a wonderful place, whether for a lazy afternoon or a fun filled evening. I love going with friends, or for a bit of other half and I time, as a cosy couple.

This is a beautiful harbour, a lovely place to have a walk around looking at all the fabulous boats. There's also a good range of restaurants (to suit every pocket). We are staying in a property here and it's a lovely place to stay, very peaceful and relaxing. The weather is being very kind to us and we feel like we are abroad.

We regularly take our kids to Eastbourne harbour for an easy going & interesting walk around the Inner Harbour, then before returning via the lock we like to walk out to the Martello tower on the Outer Harbour, we have on a couple of occasions seen a family of seals there. Once returned its great to sit outside one of the many cafes on the Waterfront for a drink, ice cream or bag of chips to watch the world go by. Free Parking a bonus too.

When we first turned the corner into the marina, we thought we were in the Med. Plenty of places to eat surrounded by the water and the boats. We always love going there. And it is free parking!

You need a car to access this area. A bit like Brighton Marina but with more restaurants - good if you are a foody person. From what I can remember a nice reasonably priced Chinese restaurant on two floors and some lovely gift/card shops and nautical themed shops that offer times of the tides. Plenty of parking and another retail outlet very nearby.

We love going to The Waterfront for a walk and a coffee or lunch. The pathways around the harbour are very accessible for my husband's wheelchair. Lots of blue badge parking spaces in the car park which can be busy at weekends and special events. There is a public accessible toilet and most of the cafes have one. There is outside seating at each cafe which we often find better with the wheelchair or scooter. We enjoy sitting watching the world go by in the Eastbourne sunshine.
