Very lively place to visit. We went on a lovely sunny day, and went on a boat trip around the harbour. This was well worth while, interesting commentary on the boat, learning and awful lot. Loads of restaurants too.

Some nice restaurants to eat in that are fairly priced. You can go for a nice walk around the harbour and if you're lucky you will see the wild seals Sammy and Sandy.

What a lovely little place to spend an hour or so. The marina has a nice collection of eateries and a few curiosity shops.
The walk around the marina is clean and pleasant.
It has an interesting walk to see the sea lock in action and on the south shore, their is a holding pond where I have seen sea lions bobbing around and soaking the sun on the banks.
There is free parking which is a bonus.
A small boat conducts pleasure tours around the marina for £5.00 Adults. Children 2+ £4.00

Very pretty with a selection of restaurants. Had a beer in an Italian place though which cost £3.50 per half - extortionate. Worth a visit but probably won't find much to occupy joys unless you linger over lunch. The shopping complex next door is very scruffy and run down though. Most of the buildings look half derelict and unloved.

I spent a few pleasurable hours here recently.
Great restaurants, lovely views, a really good way to spend a few hours.
Don't forget to look out for the large fish swimming in the harbour, a great sight..

If the weather is good then this is a nice place to have a wander. There are places to eat & drink and if you are lucky you may get to sit outside but it does get very busy especially when the sun is out.

Booked a table for Saturday 13th August. Food was below average. Ordered from the special menu. Like chewing through a large dough ring and you would need a magnifying glass to see what little filling was in it. Supposed to come with salad which eventually turned up with a very unappealing plate of iceburg
and to brighten things up a tiny grating of carrot. Anaemic plate of chips to make the whole meal that much drier.
Food below average. Staff polite and hard working.

Went here one evening with my son, just as the sun was setting. Beautiful! Also had a lovely meal here as a family one day. We sat by the water in the sunshine and it felt so relaxed & laid back. We even laughed at the seagulls hovering around waiting for their opportunity to swoop down and try their luck at the leftover food on the tables once the people had left!

It was lovely lots of restaurants to eat inside or out like being abroad really. Walk around the marina a must as the boats are fab and watch for the fish.

Free parking, pleasant walks around the marina to see the yachts and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes to while away an hour or two. Evening dining outside in the sunshine is a must and readily available at prices to suit all tastes or just have a glass of wine. A very pleasant venue all round.

This is a very large working marina. Suitable for families with lots of family friendly eateries. Plenty of boats to admire & working locks impressive for adults & kids alike. A small boat offer trips around the marine detailing history & places of note.

We took the miniature train from the town centre past the pier and beyond the eastern outskirts to its final destination Sovereign Marina. We were surprised to find it is almost a small town in itself with modern flats built around a number of quays, the largest housing a cluster of restaurants, ranging from Harvester to an Italian, Thai and a first floor Indian featuring a £9.99 buffet on Sunday's. Our walk around the various quays was interrupted by footbridges rising to accommodate high-masted boats. Just outside the complex is one of the Martello forts built in, I think, Tudor times as a bastion against French invasion. Nowadays those invading are hordes in search of cheap Italian grub, ice cream and a vision of boats of all shapes and sizes.

We have been to Harbour many times and eaten at most places there, The Thai has become to expensive and the food needs to improve a lot to justify its prices. The Italian is just about OK but once again not cheap. A good place in the summer.

A pretty place to look around, in the sunshine but was given to believe there were some little, independent shops there too. Unless we missed them, all we could find were the usual High Street names like Next, Boots, etc. One of the locals had previously warned us that - 'There isn't much there.' It was reasonably interesting to look at the boats for a while but, apart from that, we wished we'd listened to him. I don't know - maybe we were missing something.

Came here at the weekend for a stroll and am quite surprised at how far you can actually walk round here ! Boat tours are really cheap but we didn't have time to do this ! Was nice seeing the little bridges open to let the boats through ! Plenty of places to eat and drink also 😀

If you want to eat surrounded by boats than this is the place to go! There is a varied choice of restaurants, in which I have eaten well.
Go on a boat trip around the harbour after lunch. It is reasonably priced and great fun. I learnt so much. Then take a stroll and look at the choice of apartments that one could own.
Oh yes, there is free parking if you are driving or go by Doto train along the sea front.

I love the harbour but!!!!!! People walk their dogs there and allow them to foul the footpath then don't bother to pick it up. The last thing I want to see is a dog doing its mess as I'm eating a delicious meal. Or realising one of the kids has stood in it and then brought it in the car. Please stop the dogs it spoils a really nice place to go and spend the day.
