Took the whole family to see Gary Delaney last weekend. Everything, and I mean everything, from the show to the theatre itself to the bar staf to the volunteers who ran the whole thing was top-notch.

Considering this place is the oldest in town, it still looks amazing. This is due to the hard work of the team that runs it. Yes, there are a few things still to do but if you're feeling generous and drop a quid or two into the bucket on the way out, you can help.

A low-stress, even family-style ambiance will leave you feeling well looked after, and you'll leave the place with happy memories and the feeling that you've contributed in some small way to the continued existence of this piece of Eastbourne history.

The sort of shows they put on with what has to ba limited budget is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Sign up to their mailing list and never miss a show again. Oh, and panto season is coming up soon (oh yes it is)!

We went to the theatre on the last night of the variety show . The show was brilliant from start to finish. The singing and dancing was very professional even the kids. The comedy had my sides aching with Grant Martins superb. If there are trapdoor productions dont miss them

Not knowing what to expect, had a fabulous time. The outside is a bit dated, but the seats were comfortable which is the main thing. Jason Manford had the audience rolling in the aisles. So a thoroughly good time had by all, still chuckling as some of his jokes/stores! Only a suggestion, but would have been nice to have a choice of wine, some fizz would have been nice!!

A lovely old theatre....rather tired and shabby now, but it's size gives it wonderful intimacy missing from larger more modern theatres.

Thoroughly enjoyable evening. An excellent show in a charming traditional old style theatre. Booked at the last minute, so not much choice of seats, but still had a really good view.

In desperate need of renovation. Beautiful Victorian building in its hey day but now the seats are threadbare ( although
Comfy). The staff were courteous and efficient.

Excellent venue. Super sound system. Intimate surroundings made for a wonderful show. Belinda Davids truly was "Whitney Houston" and the musicians, dancers and back up singers combined beautifully. The quality of artists for other shows is also first rate. We will most certainly visit again and often.

Choose seats carefully to avoid restricted views. Great atmosphere inside and very helpful staff. Needs better control of audience in musicals - standing/dancing MUST be stopped!

This theater is a real treat. The leg room is extensive and the seats very comfortable. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble to ensure my comfort was paramount as I have slight mobility issues. All during the performance they checked that all was well. As the theater is quite small the view of the stage is brilliant. I would agree with others though the parking is an absolute nightmare and you have to be there a good hour before to try and find something suitable.

Went to see 'Spooky Mens Chorale' this evening at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre. What a pleasant venue, with a very intimate auditorium. Sat in the stalls, which gave an excellent view of the stage, so we were able to enjoy the whole show. The theatre is immaculate, seating is comfortable with plenty of leg room & the facilities were excellent. The staff were both pleasant & courteous, a real credit and we cant wait to return in the very near future. Thank you for a pleasureable evening.

Great Show, Summer Season Tuesday and Wednesday until October. Lovely little theatre, the oldest one in Eastbourne. Other shows at the weekend G4, Ed Byrne, Blake to name a few. Great kids shows too. Something for everyone, Comedy Tonight!

What a delightful theatre this is! Tucked away in Seaside road, it can easily be missed as it looks like a shop from the front. Step inside though and you will walk into an auditorium that is just like a slightly smaller version of the Devonshire park theatre. Although it is staffed by volunteers, there's nothing amateurish about this theatre. It is one of Eastbourne's many cherished assets.
