We love the warm and welcoming feel of the beautiful Royal Hippodrome. There are fabulously entertaining shows all year round to suit all. The Hippodrome team are very friendly and extremely helpful.

Really enjoyed Roman Romp! Very funny adult comedy. The refit to the theatre certainly is noticeable on arrival.

Is a very old historic building that has been given a new lease of life and is getting the best people/groups etc into eastbourne revitalising the tired end of the town. Beautiful building with lots of stories from years gone by including ghosts!

A lovely little theatre, in which i have grown up performing in! The new owners, Debbie and Alex, are such lovely people and are doing such a wonderful job with making the theatre look beautiful again. Definitely would describe this place as the ‘best business in Eastbourne’!

The Hippodrome is a great venue with such a wide variety of shows to see - there really is something for everyone. It has a cosy, intimate feel and the staff/volunteers are always helpful, friendly and welcoming. They are slowly restoring the theatre to its former glory so is well worth a visit, also I can recommend the backstage tour - it’s fascinating.

A lovely welcoming theatre with a huge variety of events and performances on throughout the year. The staff are always helpful and friendly and really seem to care about the theatre and it’s audiences. Since the new management took over last year this venue has got better and better!
