Outstanding friendly customer service and nice freshly cooked to order fish and chips.<br>Went here around 430pm and they had just set out the candles on the table for the evening service. So was a nice romantic setting with lovely Xmas music and decorations. Really cosy atmosphere to go with the nice food.<br>Highly recommended

An old world in experience for sure. I've been coming here for years. Both eat in and take out. I've never had bad fish and chips from here unlike other places. One of the genuinely consistent experiences. The restaurant is dated and is a time machine and you'll be transported to somewhere between 1950 and 1992 but don't let that put yourself off.

Food was piping hot, the batter on my skate was thin, light and crispy and the chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Fantastic to be able to have skate as so few places seem to have it any more.

Nice clean restaurant, just wanted light meal so went for cod roe and jacket potato, both cooked perfectly, couple of drinks, our waitress who was from Manchester very polite and helpful, will certainly return

Came in for a Hawaiian burger for myself, service time was great and I can confirm the Hawaiian burger is absolutely amazing, cooked perfectly, full of flavour, tender and juicy. Wouldn't hesitate to order 1 again

A Monday in October,we were the only 4 in the place! It was lovely. Clean and warm. The waitress was quick , efficient and very friendly.<br>The food was good, honest plain cooking. Well cooked and hot. Well worth it. Just our type of place😃

The food was just fish and chips, it was OK but when I pay over 20 quid for a big fish and chips then I expect a massive fish and and loads of chips. The portion was no different to a fish and chips from a local chippy and the quality was the same it wasn't bad or anything but I wouldn't return.
