On our way to Eastbourne we were discussing lunch and a Guy sitting near us suggested whatever we did not to eat at Harry<br>Ramsdens. So we came to Qualisea. We were waited on by a Manuel type waiter who was fabulously polite and efficient. He even asked us "iss OK?" His name is Carlos. Back to the food. Generous portions of Haddock and Chips with a delicious sweet pickled onion for me. The wine was extraordinary, a bottle of J.Moreau and Fils Chablis at a very reasonable price. The staff were very welcoming greeting many of the customers by First Name. A gem of a place. Ignore the grumpy arses who rated it poor. Always a few saddoes around in the pay of the competition.

Decent fish and chips. The batter is done well and the fish always tastes fresh. Dad's favourite chips of all time, but personally, I think they just taste like jacket potatoes. It got a bit awkward when we once got frozen chips instead of their usual chips but the matter was resolved in the end. Good food, reasonable prices and service is pretty much as you'd expect from a takeaway. (We haven't eaten in before, prices are higher but there is more on the menu.)

By far the best fish and chips in Eastbourne - the fish used is fresh and well prepared, the chips are made regularly in fresh batches. Staff are friendly and although the décor is slightly outdated, it fits in with the seaside feel.
