This is consistently good....and should be in the top 5 at least. Though I doubt they are too bothered because it's usually too busy now! It is great to see your food cooked on the charcoal right in front of you and service is quiet and professional. The bread you get on arrival is superb....and should be used more. We would like to see more specials, a bit more variety as the menu has not changed much in 16 years. However, it's a great place even though not in the best area! Get some!

Myself and six family members went to Eastbourne yesterday for a day out - starving at lunch time we tried to find somewhere to eat. We stumbled upon Meze off of the main strip of restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised! I can't fault it! The food was cooked to perfection, the portions were really big which suited our group! The design of the restaurant was really nice. The best part of the experience were the staff! So attentive! We were checked on numerous times, and they were so polite!! Such a nice change to actually feel like restaurant staff want to make sure you have a nice experience and you can stay for as long as you like, not rushed at all! Highly recommend!

Managed to get a table Saturday night. My partner is celiac and the waiter couldn't have been more helpful explaining what she could and couldn't have. Food delivered quickly and freshly cooked despite a full restaurant. Really can't fault anything.

It took us a while to find somewhere nearby to park, but it was worth it. We went for dinner one evening when on a short break in Eastbourne and wanted a change from the 'chips with everything' menus along the sea front. There was a good selection of our favourite Turkish dishes ; food was prepared in an open area so you could watch the chefs and not surprisingly the quality was excellent. Portions are generous; we each had a meze selection platter and struggled to eat a main dish afterwards. Polite and friendly service and reasonable prices. I'd happily eat there again.

Had dinner at Meze tonight while on a weekend away in Eastbourne. What a find this little place was. Simple and cozy inside, the staff were lovely and friendly from the minute we walked in the door. There was a misunderstanding with the ordering of one of our main courses and although we really weren't bothered and happy to wait for the correct dish to be made, they were very apologetic and brought us an additional starter and more bread so we weren't left waiting and hungry. So kind and attentive.
The food was amazing. Cooked on the charcoals behind our table, everything was fresh and good quality. The lamb was gorgeous!Thank you for a very lovely meal in a very friendly restaurant. We will be back next time we visit Eastbourne

A little rough around the edges decor wise but you can fault the excellent service and most wonderful barbecued meat....Great sharing plate at £29 enough for two people with very good value wine .Wonderful service from Varuk who could have not been better with great back up from his team....very good value on Moët champagne which was served iced cold to celebrate the cricket win ...good vibe in the restaurant and comes highly recommended

Great real authentic Turkish food. Amazing selection and flavours. Cooked over real charcoal pit. Make sure you are hungry as you get alot of food for your money. Monday night and it was busy. Local Turkish people were eating there. Yoou will not be disappointed a great place to eat and reasonable priced.

Had to visit this restaurant again. The welcome and the food are second to none. We were given a small Turkish pizza before we ordered. Everything is freshly prepared and the quality is superb. Hopefully see you next year

If you're looking for traditional Turkish cuisine in Esstbourne, this is definitely the right place. Love the clay oven for the kebabs, the free typical appetizers. Also the owners were very welcoming. Not giving 5 because a little bit expensive for the quantity.
