A real gem, situated not far from the seafront/shopping area of Eastbourne. Family run - lovely, lovely people and the food is superb. Watch your chicken, lamb, fish, etc., being cooked, over charcoal, before your very eyes. Absolutely delicious and the restaurant is small but full of atmosphere. Very highly recommend this delightful restaurant.

We stumbled in here by chance on a Saturday night. And what a great find! The food was fantastic and excellent value - the bread, the feta and even the Turkish delight were homemade. A lot of the food is prepared in the dining space, which is great to watch - and smell! The portions were really generous, so don't get too carried away with the meze starters. The team were friendly and took time to explain some of the dishes. Although there are a lot of lamb-based dishes, there are some good choices for vegetarians especially with the hot and cold starters. We'll be going back to try the homemade Baklava next time!

This restaurant was suggested by our neighbour and is very slightly off the beaten track we have in Eastbourne which is why we hadn't been here before. The food was prepared in front of us and what lovely ingredients, all fresh. Whilst we waited fresh bread and proves etc were brought to the table, absolutely delicious. Then my wife chicken and veg was cooked in the oven whilst y chicken kebab was on the charcoal slowly cooking in front of me. We opted for a bottle of the Turkish wine which was chilled and very acceptable. The food when it arrived was piping hot, attractive to look at and glorious to eat. This has got to be one of the best restaurants in Eastbourne...

It’s an amazing atmosphere with a very friendly owner. Food is consistently good and made to order.
This restaurant is good to taste some authentic Turkish cuisine. The menu is quite balanced and it’s mostly meat but has some vegetarian options too.The restaurant, although not spacious, is clean and warm especially in winter.
I have been a returning customer for more than a year, and I haven’t had any issues with food or service. This place is good for a dinner date for sure.
Enjoy the visit, you won’t regret it.

The waiter was very helpful and had a great sense of humour. He helped us with our menu selections and everything was excellent.
The restaurant was charming and we sat on rugs (on benches) and we could watch the chefs as they prepared dishes, which added to the experience.
Would definitely recommend a visit to Meze.

Every time when me and my family come here, it is a pleasant time. Food is always perfect and what’s more it is cooked infront of us so we can see how it is made. Waiters are nice and polite and chef is master of his craft. We will definitely come again soon.

After enjoying a visit to a Turkish restaurant whilst in Devon we thought we'd try and find one locally so visited Meze. Parking can be a challenge, but don't let that put you off. On arrival you receive a warm welcome, advice on all dishes, and nothing is a problem. The food is excellent, reasonably priced and the whole experience faultless. On seeing my wife struggle with her fish, the chef came over and took it all off the bone for her, she didn't have to ask, he saw her having difficulties and immediately offered to help her - what great customer service. The best compliment that I can pay the restaurant is that we would take family and friends there, and we now have. They also throughly enjoyed their meals and the whole experience and would visit again, as shall we.

Booked for four of us and were warmly welcomed into the restaurant. Bread, olives and
garlic butter arrived along with our drinks, followed by some delicious extra freebie of some pizza type bread with delicious spicy minced lamb on top.
We had lamb kebabs which is all cooked in front of you and was perfection. The meat was really succulent. Food was plentiful and well presented. The service was excellent. It seemed a very popular place as it was incredibly busy. I thought it was good value for money too.

A group of my former work colleagues meet periodically for a dinner. The latest event was here on a recent Friday evening (reservation having been made). We we warmly welcomed to the restaurant and shown to our table. We sought advice on the menu and settled on mixed meze to start for all and made our own choice for the main. Most of us settled for beer to accompany but two of us had the Turkish red, which turned out to be very acceptable. In terms of the food, the meze were nicely presented though I felt perhaps the quantity could have been greater. Against this it has to be admitted that the number of items provided was impressive, this allowing a range of tastes. Generally it was very good, though I felt perhaps the tabbouleh needed more herbs. As to he main course, I had the sebze kebab as a vegetarian. I had no problems with the cooking or quantity, but thought it was somewhat bland and rather unambitious, being something I could approximate at home quite easily (other vegetarian dishes are available). However my carnivorous companions seemed very happy with their choices . Service was very good. The bill was on the higher side of what we usually pay.
