Superb local bistro restaurant with delightful menu. We stayed at a nearby campsite and found this place through online searching, which is not always reliable but turned up a real gem this time. The menu is an intriguing mix of Mediterranean food and English classics. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and the very friendly and helpful wait staff were happy to make adjustments to suit our fussy wishes. The porchetta was amazing and an unexpected treat on such a modest menu - and good value to boot.

A lovely Mother's Day lunch with the family at Massilia Bay, our first visit, and definitely not our last. Great food combined with really friendly service made it such an enjoyable occasion. Definitely to be repeated.

Finally I had a Sunday off so went with my family for a second time, and once again thoroughly enjoyed everything about our meal. Roast Gammon was my choice for Sunday lunch,as you can see, a multitude of veggies hidden under that gammon and we ordered a portion of both cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets to share between us 4 adults. …it was delicious. The best roast dinner we’ve eaten out. The only thing my mum was disappointed about was that she didn’t have room for a dessert, but fear not, she got it to take home.😜

We paid the bill and were chatting and happened to mention that I work for the NHS and was told “then you get a 10%discount”. What an added bonus. Tbh the prices are actually very reasonable. I would (and have) highly recommend Massilia Bay to others for a roast dinner. I haven’t tried other foods there yet but I do intend to try it at some point as have been told by others it’s well worth a go! I hope reading this review has persuaded you to give it a try …..I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

Just can't fault this place,this is probably our 60th + visit.

Ok,on occasion they've run out of my favourite beer,but what venue doesn't..
As for the food,be it tapas/Sunday roast or even fish night never been disappointed.They even introduced me to oysters,a 1st for me and not the last.

My second visit here. My partner & I went for Sunday lunch this time. We both went for roast Turkey which was succulent & lots of it. Served with mixed, veg, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes. Plenty of gravy. It really was an excellent lunch. Very enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited last night for the second time along with my Sister and husband. The first time it was a very good experience but sadly not this time.
First of all there was no T bone steak available, then my Sister got given the wrong starter so we had to carry on eating without her. My husband ordered a Cruzcampo beer but was told it had run out so they suggested Leffe. After having one pint of Leffe he ordered another but they only served up a half pint as they said there was no more and at 9.30pm they started clearing up the restaurant to leave and on a Saturday night it was sadly disappointing to be sitting there feeling like we had to leave. So we did! We wouldn’t bother coming again.
On a good note we found the Castle pub which had live music so could continue our evening there.

Really love this place. It’s our second time visiting and we plan on coming again. This time for Valentine’s Day, the menu was set so we had to choose between things we wouldn’t normally order. Which was lovely trying new things, but this was a bit pricey compared to what we had planned.

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant on Saturday night! When we arrived, there was a pianist playing the piano and I was quite apprehensive that the children might be too noisy for what seemed a small, cosy and intimate setting. However, I was blown away with how great the staff were with the children, which put me at ease! We ordered 3 Pepperoni Pizzas from the kids menu, which came with a scoop of Icecream after, that the kids got to go up and choose themselves. The pizza was large and freshly made, the kids loved them and they were all full up. I ordered the seafood linguine! It was so good, filled with lots of musself, clams, calamari and prawns! My only criticism is that I prefer the sauce a bit thicker but apart from that it was perfect and yummy. My friend ordered the tapas as there was a deal on ordering 3 items off the tapas menu. Not sure if the tapas is a regular item on the menu? But that was delicious, especially the chicken wings. Overall, it was a brilliant night, never even knew it was there as its a bit off the road. Will definitely going back there, the next time I'm in the area! Sorry about the picture, I took it from the video I made with the kids.

I booked a table of 8 for my wife’s 40th birthday and we had a fantastic evening. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and gave us great service all evening. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food and said they will definitely come back again.

Massilia Bay is a lovely restaurant in Pevensey Bay.
We went there for food and drinks. The food was delicious and cooked really well! The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely for a nice evening out or even for a coffee. I would highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable experience.

Visited on a Friday and loved the Fish Friday menu. My friends are from the main menu. Everything was superb.

Massilia Bay markets itself as Mediterranean (Italian/French) But we arrived on a Sunday late afternoon and had the most wonderful Sunday Roast. Slow cooked topside of beef with all the trimmings. I think this restaurant basically turns its hand to most dishes and absolutely smashes it. Our Venezuelan waitress was just wonderful. Ended with some home made Limoncello on the house after the meal. Will definitely come back when we return to Pevensey Bay.

This is such a lovely hidden gem! The decor created such a nice atmosphere inside, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were all so friendly.
It was a shame however that two parents allowed their children to shout, scream, and run around the restaurant for the entirety of our meal which left us all with headaches. I understand this is a difficult situation for restaurant staff but I think a polite word could be had with parents of misbehaving children to enforce appropriate behaviour or to leave, as it was entirely unfair on other patrons.
