The person I initially spoke to at Lightning Fibre was very helpful. I decided to sign up because they guarantee the price is fixed for 24 months, and although I’d never had any problems with my previous supplier, I was fed up with their constant price hikes even when in contract.
I’m so glad I switched, because I hadn’t realised just how slow the other company were! Lightning Fibre has so far been fast and reliable. Definitely no complaints there.
I would have given 5 stars, but for the installation process. I had to go to work on the day of the installation, and the person I had hoped would be available to deal with the engineers let me down at the last minute, so I phoned and asked if I could be contacted 15 minutes before the engineers arrived so I could get home. They only phoned when they were actually at the property. When I arrived home, they appeared rushed, and fairly insistent that the router should be sited where they wanted (the easiest and quickest option), and not where I would have liked it. I particularly wanted it sited in my hallway because this is the most central part of the house, and I didn’t want to have to use the signal booster.
As a result , I do get a good signal in the parts of the house where I use the internet most, but nothing like as good in the room where I hardly ever use it
I would definitely recommend Lighting Fibre, but do wish the engineers would be a bit more attentive to their customer’s requirements.
**UPDATE**
Following my review, I was contacted by Lightning Fibre, who arranged for the engineers to return to my house. They moved the router and repositioned the cable, so everything is now set up how I originally requested it to be.
The connection is fast, reliable, and I now have a strong signal in the areas of my house where I use the internet the most.
Because Lightning Fibre actually listen to their customers, I’m happy to change my review to 5 stars.

I signed for fibre in December last year!
It took many months and numerous emails, but eventually we got connected.
The wait was worth while, the new speed is 3 x faster than my previous broadband provider!
The customer service is good but there are many things that they have to depend on from council digging permits to other utility providers.

About 8months or so in with lighting fibre and all I can say is amazing customer services- messaged at 9pm through the Facebook page 9am the next day get a phone call to assist and apologise about the issue. Set up Was fantastic and very fairly priced. Keep it up lighting by making the customers proud!

Having given lightening fibre a hard time last week because of the poor speeds we were getting I must now give credit where it’s due as they have sent me a booster to try and it seems to have done the trick let’s hope my problems are in the past and we continue to get the service they promised us 🤞🤞

After signing up to Lighting Fibre and given a installation date they contacted me and offered my a new date 4 days earlier and on the day 2 guys worked thier magic.
They were very pleasant friendly and explained every thing as they went along.
I would recommend them 100% especially against my previous ISP.

Engineer who arrived to install our new broadband gave options where we would like the connection to be connected, the cable would look much neater if it was hidden under the soffit but runs directly from the telegraph pole across the road to the back corner of our bungalow, this has caused a problem for us as the cable is only 1.5mtrs above my neighbours front door, and he has asked me to have it moved, but it will cost me £98.00, Why the engineer could not have run it where the existing cable was located as an option would have been much better and the answer to the problem we now have. I think they were lazy and wanted to make the job as easy as possible for themselves.
