Excellent service. The engineers who came to install the broadband were very professional. They listened to my requirements and accommodated accordingly. Spent much time explaining the whole process. Left the area very tidy.

The service has worked fantastically. I work from home and couldn't use Teams properly at my desk previously with the most expensive EE package. I can now do my calls anywhere in the house and the quality is excellent.

The results are truly "Lightning". The speed is way ahead of anything the other suppliers offer. An unexpected big gain is in the performance of the Wifi mesh that Lightning include. This covers a larger area than my old Wifi setup and is five times faster.
For me this was well worth the disruption of a new installation and changing broadband supplier.

Nobody told us that the 1Gbps port on the router isn’t functional. I tried using it to link to my YouView box which then couldn’t connect to the internet. However I got a quick home visit from Robert after I called him about it and he corrected it in seconds.
The system works well, the 100Mbps package is fine for most of our web activity. I had hoped it would stop the buffering when watching catch-up tv, that was pretty annoying when we were on copper. It’s definitely better now but not completely cured.
Overall we’re happy with the Lightning Fibre system.

Originally registered for their Fibre product in Jan 2021 and was impressed with their contact thoughout from when they were installing the cables along my road to going live. Proceeded with their 300mb package and couldn't be happier. The installation by Etienne and Zak was really professional and wasn't easy as a top floor flat. Explained whole process politely and were very efficient. Very hard working and wouldn't leave until it was perfect.

As a local company their dedication and customer service is second to none and their package is the fastest in my area ( can go up to 1gb/sec but happy with 300mb/sec) constantly always getting advertised speed and no slow down.

The only thing I could say is why didn't they form sooner. Sky BT email not a patch on Lighting Fibre.

Have to say thank you to Etienne and Zak for their patience and professionalism with an out of the ordinary install. Credit to the company!!

Amazingly fast internet and great install!

I thought my previous internet was pretty good, but lightning has blown it away with games and films downloaded in times I didn't think possible.

Install was great, they put the fibre cable exactly where I wanted with minimum disruption, especially seeing how they had to get a fibre cable from the street to my flat and they were friendly guys!

It came with a WiFi mesh network which has extended the reach of my old router and is fantastic!

No complaints at all, true full fibre seems to be the future and these guys are doing it!

I'm guessing that waht you want to know about Lightning Fibre is:
1. How fast is it?
2. What's the installation process like?
3. Is it reliable?
So I'm going to try to answer those as best as I can.
I signed up for the 1000Mbps package, which at the time of writing comes with free installation and two free mesh wifi routers, as well as the cable modem needed to translate the optical signal into an electrical signal that can be read by any router. I get download speeds consistently in the 850-950Mbps range, and upload speeds usually about 60-70% of the download. If you're a keen gamer, you will want to know the ping (time taken for a tiny packet of data to make a round trip to another server and back again). The answer is it's 4ms to London, and about 80ms to the eastern USA. There's very little variation in those times, suggesting the connection is very stable. These are about 20-30ms faster than I was getting with my previous ADSL (broadband) connection. I haven't used the two wireless routers that came with the installation (they were quickly snaffled by one of my sons), as I already had a wifi mesh system, but they were good quality products and the engineers would have set them up for me had I wanted them.
In terms of the installation, it took a couple of hours overall. The engineers had to get an optical cable in from the street to an unobtrusive little box on the outside my house, and then a thinner cable from that box into the house itself to connect with the cable modem that Lightning Fibre provided. They had to go through a wall, across a bit of front garden and left everything very neat and tidy. And the engineers were absolutely lovely. Once it's all connected, there's a short delay while the final connections are made on the server side, and then the cable is active. The engineers made a great job and caused as little disturbance as they possibly could. Thank you guys!
In terms of reliability, obviously it's early days, but having run with the new connection for about 2 weeks, I can confirm we've had no issues whatsoever. In summary, the experience I've had with LF has been excellent. It makes a huge difference knowing that you're dealing with a small local company, and they are really keen to make the customer experience as good as they possibly can. If you're wondering whether to take the plunge, all I can say is that I had an excellent customer experience and am very happy with the end product.

Lightning Fibre brought fibre to the door of our office in Eastbourne in January. Since then our broadband speeds have been lightning fast! Several people can download and upload heavy files at the same time and we are able to hold several online meetings at the same time without disruption.
The team were very helpful and did a great job. It's great to see them at work all over town!

Really good service, on time as booked and great to follow up for the next couple of days. Very impressed so far.

We had Lightning Fibre connected to our house last week and it was as smooth as you could have wished. The visit was booked on-line at our convenience and two very helpful installation engineers asked how we wanted the cabling done and where to, had the job done quickly and efficiently and gave good explanations of how to operate the new kit and monitor it. They were friendly as well as helpful despite having to work into the evening. Excellent job!

We signed up for fibre with Lightning in March 2021. In April we were contacted for an installation date. I week later Ettiene and Zak arrived at the appointed time, assessed and discussed access options. They were very good at assessing the best route, investigating possible problems and then agreeing the install route for the fibre. They then proceeded quietly and professionally with the install. Two hours after arriving it was all installed and active and I was able to log on and connect to the internet. Blindingly fast upload and download speeds, but I was cautioned that it would take a day or so to throttle back the speed from 400Mb/s to what I had signed up for. Since my contract of 100Mb/s was far in excess of my previous non functioning ADSL line I had no problem with that.

Installation was great, team made a neat job and explained everything well. Customer service has been excellent, the Lightning team are easily accessible. Most importantly, the connectivity is great. Noticeably faster than my previous broadband service.

Installation of the network in the street wasn't great and has made the pavement a bit of a mess. However, the process of signing up and the installation to the house worked well. We have had a few initial problems with wifi coverage as we have thick walls and a large area to cover. However, the team have been great and have come round with extra mesh boxes, advised on placement and checked performance until the coverage reached the appropriate levels. I guess that's the advantage of having a local business - overall, I have been impressed

Only had full fibre a week now but all good so far . Having some printer connection problems but all other devices connected no problem .

So far so good. Broadband speed 4 times quicker than my previous provider for smaller fee. Only had one hiccup but got sorted in a mater of minutes. Quick and painless setup. Nothing to complain about. Couldn't recommend enough. Keep up the good work

A truly revolutionary change in internet speeds for me. From 40Mb download/5Mb upload speeds (at best) from Sky ‘Fibre’ Max, I now have over 900Mb both download and upload. Installed by two lovely and helpful chaps from the company - polite, tidied up, etc. My online meetings are glitch-free (from my end!), file transfers and downloads are a breeze, and the kids downloads and online gaming experience has massively improved. Really pleased, well worth the wait!

Customer service is refreshingly excellent and they are prepared to be flexible with start/installation dates. Can't say I noticed a huge difference in speed but my gadgets are hardly state of the art and I did purchase the cheapest package. It's certainly more stable/reliable than my previous supplier, no downtime at all since installation. I was a bit surprised at how much equipment needed to be installed outside and inside the house, but I hardly notice it now. The installers talked through options with me before starting any work. I truly believe this company is different and better than the usual "copper wire" suppliers and hope their ambitious expansion plans work out for them. Keep a look out for them coming into your area.
