From the moment we booked the hotel for a family weekend to celebrate a 60th Birthday, (pre-Covid) the service was excellent throughout lock down the hotel was always available to deal with any queries . Finally after a 12month Covid delay the we arrived with our kids and 3 grandchildren in tow for a great family weekend. The hotel was ideally situation on the beach front and within easy walking distance of the town. To make it easier we arranged to eat in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff were happy to adapt the menu to meet the needs of our Dairy/Gluten dietary requirements. All the staff from house keeping to management were friendly and efficient, always happy to help. The rooms were of a high standard and very comfortable. The weekend gave all the family many happy memories in a Covid safe environment. We would recommend the Hotel to anyone who is looking for a break in a friendly and relaxed hotel. Thanks to all of the staff and the Langham for a wonderful stay. Kevin and Lesley Brown

This hotel is superb. The facilities are good and the staff are excellent. I met the owner Neil in the car park who was extremely friendly and courteous. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we were made to feel very special from the start. the food is of a high standard. This is a family run hotel, but is operated to the same standards in our opinion as many 5 star hotels we have stayed in across the world.
We have only stayed in two hotels in Eastbourne, here and the Grand. This was of equal quality and standard. We thoroughly recommend this to any one and wish the owners and team every success they certainly deserve it.

Absolutely spectacular. Having a relaxing time in our room after a lovely meal, and our first post-covid overnight stay could not be more perfect. Amazing food, great location, wonderful level of care - if you are in the area, make Langham hotel your place to stay.

Recently renovated room on the top floor. We had a lovely gentle breeze through the window and the cooing of pigeons and squawk of seagulls. Plus rooftop views over the east end of the town. It was lovely and the room comfortable. Breakfast nice and the staff absolutely trying their best to be helpful.

I can’t fault this wonderful family run hotel on the seafront with excellent views ! From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were treated like old friends. The staff are all very friendly and helpful from the cleaners and restaurant staff to the owners, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone takes pride in the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The food is excellent ! During our 4 day stay we were treated to three lots of entertainment. When booking my husband happened to mention it was my birthday, weeks later when we were the hotel the band played happy birthday and I was presented with a cake. The special winter rates are an exceptionally good deal. We can’t wait to go back again and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Hotel facilities excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food good. Will return later this year. Rooms were kept clean , Lift worked well and staff located us on a first floor room as my wife is rather disabled and she relies on lift where possible. Lovely views form our room.

Hotel didn’t have any parking spaces free, but had a loading bay directly outside and had made arrangements with the local TA Centre for secure parking only 300m or so away which was appreciated.

Our room was not ready when we arrived, but the staff were very friendly and took our bags into storage whilst we went into town.

On our return, we ordered some extra pillows, which again was no problem and also reported a faulty room safe. One of the staff promptly addressed the issue which was resolved with a fresh set of batteries. Apologies were given and offers of using the hotel safe if the issue was not resolved to our satisfaction.

We went to the bar and appreciating the table service only due to COVID, had to wait almost 25 mins for anyone to appear and see if we wanted a drink. There was nobody in the bar at all and lots of people wanting to be served. Seemed to be a shortage of staff for some reason. (Quite frustrating). Table service even once staff arrived was poor and I had to walk to the bar to ask for additional drinks.

Our room, whilst very small, had a lovely sea view and the sound of the crashing waves all night, with the open sash windows, was soothing and relaxing. The room had a lot of natural light which lifted it. Attention to detail had been made in the room which was freshly decorated to a high standard. The addition of complimentary hand gel and tissues was a nice touch.

We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant but did have breakfast there. Sadly all the tables in the conservatory had been taken so we had to sit indoors which was a shame. The yoghurts were particularly nice. Same couldn’t be said for the cooked breakfast sadly and the scrambled egg was almost white, insipid and tasted odd. Not good.

We would stay here again, but would again choose not to eat there I think.

We were taken by friends for Sunday Lunch a this Gem of a Hotel/Restaurant. Covid precautions are immaculate, Greeted by the owner who obviously loves his job and is very professional. The staff is very well trained in the old style. Tables cleared quickly and not left until the end of service. A really great menu with a good choice of obviously freshly prepared and locally sourced dishes. I had Moule Mariner and they were perfect. We all had roast beef and I was very pleased when a fabulous old carving trolley was brought to the table and beautifully cooked Roast Sirloin was carved to our liking served with fresh vegetables. We followed with Crepe Suzette flambeed at the table and Lemon Sundays for the ladies. All fabulous. None of the usual reheated overcooked leathery topside and stewed vegetables that appear to have become the acceptable norm. No fussy overpriced undersized art works masquerading as food. Just well cooked traditionally served HOT food. The owner is a natural host and covered the restaurant greeting and chatting with what is obviously a regular client base. The meal was enhanced by a really good singing duo giving a wide range of popular music. This was a great experience and we will return for more. Very reasonably priced at £28 per head for 3 courses including coffee.

What a pleasure it was to be able to come back to The Langham for a Sunday lunch and be serenaded by Duality.
Like normal the staff are excellent and we were warmly greeted. The restaurant was full and so there was an extra buzz as people enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
For starters 2 of us had the avocado, crab and crayfish tail stack whilst my husband had the moules mariniere. For main our companions both had the roast sirloin of beef from the trolley whilst my husband and I had the slow cooked belly pork. My husband and I couldn't manage any dessert but our friends had the crepes from the flambe trolley. We thoroughly enjoyed the house red and white wines, finished off with a coffee.
Excellent meal, everything was delicious and freshly cooked to perfection. Our friends had asked if their beef could be very rare and this was achieved much to their delight. Also one of our friends had originally thought to have the lemon creme brulee for dessert but fortunately the waiter, Peter, explained that it was actually a sundae not just the creme brulee. Hence she changed her mind but was so grateful to Peter for explaining as she would not have been able to eat the sundae!
Although the restaurant was full, all of the staff still gave first class service and ensured everything ran smoothly. Great value for money.
The music and singing from Duality was again superb and we were tapping our feet to the beat although sadly we could not dance due to Covid restrictions,
Fantastic to be back to enjoy the food and entertainment at The Langham. Thank you for making our Sunday lunch outing so special for us.
We will be back again in the not too distant future.
Just one word of warning: it is definitely advisable to book a table in advance in order to avoid disappointment as these lunches are extremely popular.

Very busy as it was a lovely sunny day, people were making the most of meeting up outside. Covid restrictions in place. Only had a coffee and soft drink so cannot comment on the food. Staff were smartly dressed and very efficient. Will visit again.
