Superb food, and great vegan and veggie options. Me and my girlfriend called in late one Saturday night, no booking, the place was packed, and they still managed to accommodate us. We are a veggie and a vegan, and we were spoilt for choice (comparatively speaking). We both had pizza, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

There are Italian restaurants and there is La Locanda del Duca. Without a doubt one of my top Italian restaurants. Delicious, inventive and traditional Italian top cuisine that will blow your senses. The service is outstanding. When I come back to Easbourne this will be an obligatory stop every time.

Excellent lunch on a Saturday.
First class food and service...the offer of a spirit after the meal was very welcome...I took the limoncello which was smooth and sharp.Soup and pate for starter, veal escalope and pasta for main, tiramisu (lots of flavour) and a strudel for desert.
Well worth another visit.

Nicest Italian for a long time
Decor is quite grand but not overbearing Barbara the waitress was so nice, friendly and attentive
I had mushrooms to start, which looked like too many but I couldn’t stop eating them. Lasagna and courgettes was tasty and the mixed salad was delicately prepared and delicious Limoncello was was an unexpected bonus

My husband and I visited, we booked in advance for 7:30 on a Saturday night. It was really busy, waiters rushed of their feet, bumping into each other as they ran around from table to table. We sat opposite the kitchen door so it was a bit uncomfortable watching it all and feeling the panic. An accident waiting to happen. However the food was good, staff friendly and the set menu very good value. If we were to visit again I wouldn’t sit anywhere near the kitchen, to many tables crammed together really.

Decided to go on the 3 course set menu. A very wide choice including the offer of any pata, gnocchi or risotto dish. Very much enjoyed the pancake stuffed with ameretto cream and fruit of the forest. And the complimentary limoncello at the end was to die for - frozen with sorbet to make the most delicious alcoholic slushy puppy ever! Go!

We visited this restaurant last Friday on Valentines Day before our trip to the theatre as we always do. The restaurant looked really lovely with the decorations and as always the food and service was fantastic. They add so many little touches which you don't get in many restaurants, like bread and olives on the table on arrival, biscuit with your coffee, chocolate with your bill and the most delicious frozen limonchello.

It's wonderful reading previous reviews that so many are impressed by Laconda , as it is known . My visits began in the early 2000's and increased as time went by . The basic reason was the extensive menu which covered 6 or 7 pages and the inspired specials , plus an attractive wine list .
In a town where Italian restaurants predominate , Laconda became my go-to regular dining out venue and remains so : and the good -humoured staff bring back memories of restaurants in Italy itself.Their pride in their work is so obvious. But the heart of the business beats in the kitchen and it shows . In many years of business use of restaurants I have rarely found such attention to detail. Compliments to the chef PLUS . Pasta is superb.
Oh, and all tips go to the staff . Thanks Laconda for it all. From me, family and friends.
