Excellent place for up to around early teens age . Lots to do. Make sure you pre-book online if you can. Opens at 10:00 . Arrive as close to 10:00 as possible during the school holidays as often by 10:30 - 11:00am the car park is full. Not sure what the "overflow" situation is like ? Cost is reasonable(by todays standards) for what you get.

Quite a fun day out for families with children under 12. My 10 year old loved it - my 13 year old twins were bored (but did love seeing the animals - especially the exotic species).

£90 for my family of 5 so not a cheap day out, but lots of animals to be looked after, young staff to be paid and no doubt loans to pay back for recent developments, so probably a fair price in this expensive world we live in.

Drinks and ice creams fairly priced.

Food looked pricey and unappetising and does not have great reviews so we packed loads of snacks and a packed lunch.

Toilets are clean.

Facilities (play areas are clean).

Staff are very friendly, which is refreshing these days.

Loads of parking.

Loads of picnic tables.

Well sign posted and easy to find by satnav.

My only moan is...

Appalling terms and conditions if you book online. £15 per person but terms and conditions state NO refunds if you cancel or amend your online booking before the day of arrival (an additional £3 per ticket for any amendments, which is excessive).

Online booking website is basic and clunky and the system was tricky to navigate. So confusing I made an error and selected the wrong date. A 'quick' call to Knockhatch and my family 'Adventure' cost me another £15 for my family of five (£90 in total)!

Call taker (Carolyn) also took utter delight in charging me the additional £15 (on top of the original £75) by warning me 'those were the conditions 'you agreed to' when I bought my ticket on line. Savage.

Finally, on the theme of savage refund policy I bought a ticket for my wife (£18) and she was unwell on the day of the visit due to chemotherapy for cancer. Would they refund her ticket? No. No way. I even bought a doctor's letter as proof. Heartless.

Won't be going back. All left a bit of a sour taste. What a shame and a missed opportunity for Knockhatch to show a little compassion.

Plenty for the kids to do and beautiful animals and birds too. Small queues if any for the activities. A great day out for the family. Knowledgeable staff on hand to answer questions. I especially enjoyed the owl displays.

Really lovely place with so much to do for the kids. Food menu is a little limited, but didn't detract from a great day out!

Visited here a few days ago as a treat for my kids from their Grandad. Haven't been since I was a kid and it's changed loads. Great attractions and so much to do. My boys aged 8 and 4 absolutely loved it. Particular favourites were the Lost World dinosaur barn with the MEGA slides, we spent ages in there, the Aqua slide and the castle play area complete with dragon. We arrived just before it opened and had to queue, but once they opened the gates we got in quite quickly. We walked to the back of the park first and had no queue on the aqua slide and the bouncy pillows were empty. We took a picnic and found a shady table to eat at, but there was lots of refreshments stands and a few cafés I think. Definitely worthwhile exploring all the nooks and crannies because we found bits we definitely would've missed otherwise... tractor play area and Quad barrel train. Take a bit of cash, especially pound coins, as some of the attractions charge extra and are coin operated. My kids missed out on the diggers and mini quads because I didn't have any! Also dress appropriately for the huge slides, kids need long shorts or trousers and tshirt sleeves as a minimun. They are pretty hot on this and will send you to the gift shop to buy shorts if needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and all in all we had a fabulous day. Ticket price may seem a bit steep, but when you take in how much is there it is really good value. Not too busy when we went either so not too much queuing.

Had a brilliant time at Knockhatch! One of the very few places that has got better in recent years. There's clearly been a good amount of investment into the park with a number of new play areas and entertainments. As a result the overall experience has really improved (we always enjoyed it there!).

Took my granddaughter and nephew who are both aged 7 and they loved it. So much to do and see and not overly priced, even the Costa coffee was £1.50 cheaper than I normally pay and tasted great!

Great value for money if you book in advance online. Only down side is when I asked for a first aider they called over the radio for one and they didn't even come, waited ages with my boy who had cut his chin open on a slide. Could of been worse and potentially dangerous, they need to do more training on first aid for more staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Knockhatch. We were a company of 9 with ages ranging from 2 years to 75 years old. Everybody had a good time. There was lots to do, everything was easily accessible and there were plenty of seats around the park and a lovely place to eat.
There were also plenty of toilets but by noon they were disgusting and some soap dispensers were empty and some toilets had no more paper.
All in all we had great day from 10 am to 5 pm. Will do that again when I'm in this part of England next time.

Chris made us feel so comfortable and the whole day was a breeze. I’ve heard horror stories about photographers who shout at guests and are really disruptive to the flow of the wedding to get a great picture. We had INCREDIBLE pictures and an amazing experience. We knew we wanted Chris to be our wedding photographer as soon as we met him for our free trial shoot just after lockdown. It was such a enjoyable experience and from my past experience, I don’t find having photos taken enjoyable! We wanted natural and effortless photos and that’s exactly what we got. The posed photos are incredible too. He just captured the day so perfectly. We will definitely look to hire Chris in the future when we renew our vows!
