We had our wedding at Gildredge Manor last week and honestly, the day was perfect from start to finish. The whole event ran so smoothly, and the team made sure every detail was taken care of — nothing was ever too much trouble.<br><br>Mark, Emma, and their wonderful coordinator Jackie helped bring our vision to life with care, attention, and genuine warmth. Every little detail we’d hoped for was remembered and executed beautifully. We’re so grateful to the whole team for creating such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere — we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for giving us a day we’ll never forget!

My son had his wedding at Gildredge Manor on 10th May 2025 and I cannot rate the venue and everyone who works there highly enough. Everyone was so friendly and put everyone at ease. Particular thanks go out to Jackie & Mark who worked tirelessly before, during and after ensuring the day was completely relaxed and all went meticulously to plan. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and everyone has since commented on how beautiful the venue and the day was. Our family were blown away with how hard these guys all work to create the perfect day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating the most magical day for the bride, groom and all their guests. A massive thank you to Emma and Mark for letting us hold our wedding at Gildredge Manor in August this year! We had the most amazing day with all of our family and friends, and a huge part of this was due to all of the help and expertise from Emma and Mark in the run up to our special day. From the offset, Emma offered us so much information about the venue, suggested tips and great suppliers, and was on hand to answer all of our questions. Coupling all of this with an initial in-person tour of the venue, we immediately fell in love with the venue as it ticked every single box for us! We really appreciated being able to visit the venue multiple times during our planning (and see how others decorated the venue for their weddings), as it never failed to fill us with both happiness and inspiration ahead of our wedding day. During our final planning meeting with Mark, it became even more apparent that it already was that the whole Gildredge team are experts at what they do - nothing is too much and no small detail is overlooked. Emma, Mark and Jackie were all amazing at making our wedding day run so smoothly, and we wholeheartedly thank them and the whole team for making sure that we could fully focus on having the best time without stressing at all about anything! Gildredge Manor has so many beautiful spaces to enjoy both inside and outside, and we had to do very little in terms of decoration as the venue is stunning as it is! We of course added some personal touches of our own to the venue (i.e. flowers and table decorations), and the team were incredible at making our personal additions multi-task as they were able to move them around the venue throughout the day for us as well.<br><br>We absolutely loved every part of our wedding at Gildredge Manor and cannot recommend this venue enough! Thank you once again!

We absolutely love working at Gildredge Manor! It’s spacious, beautiful, and full of character, with the most gorgeous garden—ideal for that dreamy Bridgerton-style wedding. The manor has such an elegant charm, but it's also wonderfully relaxed, allowing for the perfect mix of grandeur and comfort.<br><br>At Kate and Kate, we love officiating wedding celebration ceremonies here because it gives couples the chance to create something truly personal and magical. The staff are so accomodating and easy to work with.<br>If you’re looking for a venue with serious wow-factor and space to celebrate in style, Gildredge Manor is a real gem!

We had our wedding at gildredge manor on 28th September and it was AMAZING.<br>The venue is stunning, and the few tiny things that worried us turned out to not be a problem at all!!<br>If you’re worried about the lack of parking don’t be!! None of our guests had any issues at all.<br>The venue is spaced out and we were worried we might lose some guests but this absolutely did not happen, having different rooms meant that people could go to different areas for a different vibe (eg a lot of our older relatives enjoyed being able to have a conversation in the library and get away from the noise 🤣)<br>Mark and Jackie and the rest of the team made sure the whole day went so smoothly, nothing was too much trouble for them, we had a totally stress free day with them running everything!!<br>Emma was a great communicator and answered all the silly questions you have when you’re planning a wedding.<br>If you are thinking of booking, do it, we don’t have a single negative thing to say!!<br>PS we LOVED finding this pic of Jackie and the bar staff in our photo booth album the next day!!!! Gave us a big laugh!!!

Me and my husband got married here a month ago and it was the most perfect day that we could have wished for. A beautiful venue which will forever hold a place in our hearts. Mark and Emma have been wonderful and Jackie was absolutely fabulous on the day. All our guests commented on what an amazing, chilled vibe it was all day. Perfect!

My daughter and her new husband had a wonderful day the staff and venue were fantastic. Mark could not have done enough for us he was so accomodating and helpful. Jackie also was amazing and helped organise the day which kept our daughter calm and enabled her and her husband to enjoy their special day.

Wow. What a venue.<br><br>From the get go communication with Emma was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for her, no matter what time the email.<br><br>On the day and leading up Mark was on hand to ease any worry, he was so welcoming and really put us at ease that everything would be taken care of and for us to not worry at all.<br><br>Jackie was amazing on the day, so calming and really looked after not just us but our family and friends as well.<br><br>We couldn't have asked for better and are so pleased that we found what I would like to call a hidden gem.<br><br>Thank you to the whole team from the bottom of our hearts, our wedding was perfect thanks to all of the effort you put in.<br><br>We would recommend to everyone to go and view this amazing venue, you will be so pleased you did!<br><br>Mr & Mrs Bailey, 25.05.2024

We got married at Gildredge Manor on the 2nd of September and we had an amazing day. The Manor is so beautiful and the different spaces work so well, giving space for guests, areas to relax away from the dance floor when needed etc. Communication with Emma and Mark was always really great right from the start all the way through to the wedding. Jackie, Mark and the team were all great on the day and I was able to just enjoy myself and didn't have to worry about anything. Our guests had a lovely day and commented how beautiful the Manor is. Highly recommend for anyone planning their wedding/event.

My husband and I got married at Gildredge Manor at the end of August and we loved it. From the start, Mark was incredible.<br>He was polite, helpful and a pleasure to chat with. Never afraid to go the extra mile. On the day, both Jackie and Mark were our rock, letting us know where we needed to be and when, making sure everything was sorted. A huge thank you to the staff at Gildredge Manor, particularly Jackie and Mark. They were very attentive and made sure that the celebrations flowed seamlessly.<br><br>Rain on the day meant we couldn't really make use of the garden. But, as other reviews have said, the venue is wonderful.<br><br>Mobility issues for a couple of guests meant we didn't use the upstairs ballroom for the wedding breakfast. This added to the workload for the staff, as they had to turn around the ground floor ceremony room. Which they handled brilliantly.<br><br>We were worried about carparking for guests but this proved to be a non-issue.<br><br>All the guests had a great time.

Honestly, this is the perfect place to get married. Mark helped us enourmously throughout. Great choice of rooms for you guests to either party in, hide away in or even play pool! Lovely garden. Just brilliant. Can't recommend enough. Rob + Claire x

I got married at Gildredge Manor in May 2023 and I loved every second of it. Me and my husband fell in love with the venue the first time we saw it with the natural decor and look of the building inside and out being so perfect without hardly having to add to it. You get a large space to use with there being a games room, bar/seating area, buffet room, an old library (good for people to sit and have a chat in the quiet) , ceremony room/dance floor and a lovely hall for your wedding breakfast. Me and my Bridal party were also able to get ready at the venue in 2 lovely dressing rooms with a private toilet/<br>shower room. All staff, especially Mark and Jackie were amazing at helping throughout the day, but so sneakily you hardly saw them working their magic

We got married at Gildredge Manor at the end of April and had the most incredible day. Mark and Emma were brilliant throughout the planning process, ensuring we had regular contact and answering all of our questions and queries quickly. On the day, Jackie and the team made sure that everything ran smoothly. They had a great balance of making sure we were well looked after while also letting us have our space. The venue itself is stunning and whilst we had beautiful sunshine on the day, had it rained I am confident that the decor within the house would have made for just as stunning photos. I would recommend Gildredge to anyone looking for a wedding venue in East Sussex, you can be sure it will be perfect!

My husband and I were married at Gildredge Manor in May 2022. We had an absolutely incredible day, it was everything we could have hoped for, and a lot more! The manor is very special to me, as I used to visit with my family as a child and in fact, it was the only wedding venue we looked at, it simply felt 'right' for both of us immediately! The building is beautiful and light and the rooms give a wonderful mixture of intimacy and fun! We'll never forget saying our vows as the sun streamed through the windows, it was such a special moment. We have had numerous compliments about the manor since our wedding and hope to find a reason to have another party there one day! Special thanks must go to Emma, Mark and Jacky. Everything was taken care of and we felt like we could really relax and enjoy the day, nothing was too much trouble on the day, or the days around the wedding. Thank you for making our wedding day so wonderful!

My husband and I choose Gildredge Manor for our wedding in August this year and we couldn't be more pleased! The venue itself is so beautiful and each room has it's own unique atmosphere- our guests absolutely loved the manor. The outside garden had plenty of activties to keep the children (and even adults) entertained for the evening portion of the wedding. Mark, Emma, Jackie and the team were oustanding in helping us both plan and execute the most fantastic and special wedding day- everything from setting up, to looking after myself and my bridal party whilst getting ready, the running of the day, the moving of guests from place to place, running the bar, gathering our things for collection the next day was done incredibly well. Jackie in particular has such a calming influence, which is so so important when nerves kick in on the big day. We couldn't recommend Gildredge Manor enough to anyone wanting a superb venue for a wedding or party!

My husband and I got married at Gildredge Manor in August this year and it was the perfect venue. Right from our first visit, we knew it was the place for us - Mark took us around and it was like talking with an old friend. He talked us through what the venue could be like for a wedding, but made it very clear they are very flexible and happy to accommodate as much as they can for whatever you wish for on your big day. The communication over the next year from Mark and Emma was fantastic and they always made sure that we knew they were only a phone call or e-mail away. They recommend caterers that they have worked with numerous times before and it works seamlessly - both teams of staff knowing exactly what needs to be done. We used Food Glorious Food who were fantastic. On the day, Jackie from Gildredge Manor was in charge and she was an angel! She made it clear to both my husband and I that we had absolutely nothing to worry about all day, she would make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time, and if timings were delayed she would liaise with whoever needed to know. We pointed out our nearest and dearest who she made sure were present and front row for cutting the cake, first dance etc. She thought of everything - making sure our elderly guests were upstairs and seated first, my 7 month old son was napping happily with her whilst we ate (for a while!), my husband and I always had a drink in our hands! She was the reason the whole day was so relaxed and fun and every single guest commented on what a superstar she was! All members of the Gildredge staff were fantastic on the day, from Emma & Mark, to Jackie the MVP, to Oonagh, Max and Eliza. I cannot recommend this venue enough - I genuinely do not have a bad word to say about the place or the people!
