It was having a lot of work done when we visited. Biggest shame was the fishing taking place at the end, after so many birds getting caught in line and hooks at the pier over the last year. The shops have improved and the pier is more inviting that it used to be. Shame about the fire which destroyed the arcade area several years ago. I understand you can even get vegan fish and chips on the pier now.

This is my first visit. The beach is calm and relaxing. Quite a many options for food and snacks on the pier. Its the pebble beach, so get the proper footwear. The beach is very long, good for evening walks, you will love the atmosphere. Plenty of commuting options available too, just outside the pier.

We came here as part of our walk along the promenade and it was really special. We did not have time to stop to explore the offerings on the pier but there are several promising stops.

Nice place to sit by the sea with a few coffee places. Has seating but not sure how it copes in high summer. Clean and nice to watch a few water sports.

Last day of holiday,stayed in Bexhill-on-Sea from Cornwall , had trip along coast and had nice walk along eastbourne front and out on pier, had a beer in the bar at the end and sat outside in the sunshine. Great.

I was on short holiday in hotel near the Pier.It was not realy busy?,as I suppose more people would come more in July?.Shame the band stand, was not open.Such a lovely place it was Found deck chairs just last day of my holiday by there.The ones near the pier had gone.This was not good.As it was hard to find a decent seat,! in some of the cafes.along the front.Also there were not enough sun umberellas either!, where food and drinks were there. There was Bus stop which had gone which used to be next to our Hotel the Burlington.Which I had to walk into town to get a bus. So much has changed since my last visit.such a shame.

Eastbourne are one of the best places to go for a weekend break. Although I only spent a few hours relaxing on the beach, the people I met was very friendly. I chose the best day, it was very hot. I did not plan to go to Eastbourne, but I am pleased I went.
