The pier is in great condition. There is a lovelt tea room, plenty of benches, a chip shop and the best doughnuts I've ever had! Loveely views and very spacious.

I wish I could have gone on some of the rides. But I still enjoyed a dabble and a lovely frozen yoghurt on the pier.

The recovery work from last years fire can readily be seen, with new easily accessible seating, so too the work needed to replace/repair some of the old Victorian fixtures. The cast iron has been tastefully painted, the Obscura is being rectified and hopefully operational for the main summer season.
All in all, a pleasurable stroll leeward or windward, with partial shelter, depending on the strength of the breeze, some beautiful views along the coast in each direction and the splendor of the Victorian and Edwardian architecture of the hotels of Eastbourne.

We visited Eastbourne pier on May 3rd, 2016. It was simple plaiin with 2 amusement arcades, 2 bars and the some of the usual fairground attractions with a well stocked shop. Not much there but only worth a visit as long as it is free. If it was only available for a fee it would be best avoided. It took only 10 mins to walk to the end and back. The bars and "resteraunt" ( a chip shop) were OK, nothing special. For a child it would be OK for an hour or maybe for an hour and a half.

The pier has been tastefully restored after the fire. Plenty of picnic tables and seats. It is free to enter.

The new owner has done a good cleanup job after the fire. Picnic tables are a nice touch. Very clean and tidy. We look forward to seeing the additions/improvements which we are sure are in the pipeline. So far so very good; he clearly has the right idea and we wish him success.

Visited Eastbourne pier on the 1st May with the family, to be honest I don't know what it was like before the fire, however we found the pier OK, there was a couple of take aways and a coffee shop, with a small gift shop, and a night club, it was very clean and appeared to be freshly painted, quite nice for a sit in the sun on a sunny day.

Si has visitado Brighton te dirá poca cosa. Apenas algún restaurante y tienda. Sin arcade, atracciones o algo que te permita pasar el rato en un día soleado.

Looks beautiful, prettier and more stylish than the rival pier in Brighton. I visited the pier after 6pm so it was closed. The sights are good and there are a lot of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. The bus to Brighton leaves practically in front of the pier when the pier is open.

Watch out for the seagulls they dive bomb you for any food you may be trying to eat.
Fair number of rides but as always expensive

Went for a walk there- not a lot there, end of the pier was closed off for repair work (possibly linked to the massive fire on there last year?)

Having recently visited Eastbourne I was pleasantly surprised to find the Pier recently refurbished, however slightly disappointed that very few things were available for Children, although there was a small gift shop and restaurant/tea room, this seemed to be mainly geared towards adult clientele, and when I asked around it was mentioned that the owners were more concerned with the money being spent on the casino, its a shame as I feel a nice ice cream parlour or small games arcade would be very popular, but will return later this year to see if improvements have been made

Visited here several times over our weekend stay in Eastbourne. The pier was so well kept and user friendly. The paint work is new and the older decking planks are always being replaced.

Unfortunately it was set ablaze a few years back so the main core structure was destroyed but it has been rebuilt to its glory and now offers a huge square in the middle, this sea front and pier and a few of their kind, highly recommended.

I'm a long standing fan of the pier in Eastbourne, and I am glad that it is finally starting to take shape and get back on it's feet again. The views of Holy well are fantastic from the pier too.
