Lovely Victorian pier with a nice tea room with waitress service and the ubiquitous chippy! Also has night club at the end for late night revelling.

Unfortunately the day we went we had a thunderstorm and had to shelter from the rain but the Pier is well kept and has a lot to offer. We did not get to see all of it but hopefully we will be able to go again.

You see these place on the TV so often, nice to put your foot on the real thing. We were there early morning but had a nice walk around.

nice afternoon out here - plenty to do and also nice cup of tea here in tea bar. Plenty amusements and nice to watch the sea.

How nice to see a historic pier having money spent on it to renovate it back to its old status (thanks to a Sheik) Eastbourne has always been an old style resort, and none the worse for that! and of course on top of the pier structure is the " camera obscura"

It was cold and windy but I didn't want to miss walking on pier. Lovely. It has a few shops and was very long! I enjoyed looking at water and town.

Having grown up in Eastbourne this was the first time visiting after the fire. It was very sad looking at where all the gaming machines had been. I've heard they are replacing them but not sure. It was still a nice breathtaking walk along the pier.

The pier has always been something I love about this town and I have family that worked on it for years before the fire and I used to go to the Burger King as a kid but it feel like it is becoming less family orientated now, with barely anything on there no arcade and now the fishing ship at the end has gone it's hardly the same pier I can remember spending so many holy memories on and although it is being "restored" the painted gold lions do not draw the eye away from the flaking paint and damaged woodwork on the outer frame of the pier. I guess we have to see what the finished article will be when and if it's done.

Still a feature of Eastbourne seafront, but since the fire a couple of years ago, the pier lacks the character it once had, shame really!

It was nice to not be charged for going on this pier. Wild and windy when we were there, but great views of the sea shore and coastline from the length of it. Lovely promenade area that was not obstructed by kiosks selling tat. Well painted and maintained which must be a challenge with much original ironwork.

This is, like most coastal towns, a potential Jewel in the crown. A partial restoration after a major fire excellently carried out. However fishing has been banned on the pier - sad end to a long tradition. The new owner, a major hotelier in the town, has been fairly quiet about his plans. None the less a really nice place to promenade all year round.

Very clean plus free admission & deck chairs places to eat & drink very enjoyable. The only thing I thought was expensive was the amusement rides ÂŁ20 for a wrist band I know it's for the whole
Day but not a great choice of rides.

Good to walk round. Great that there are no slot machines but loads of room to sit. Good shops on the pier and it is free.

Large area on pier with picnic tables since rebuilding after fire. Plenty of seats around. Some fast food outlets and café's. Very few arcade machines which can be positive or negative depending on your viewpoint. A pleasant and relaxing place to be.

A lot of improvements on this pier have been made by the new owner who is a very experienced hotelier. There is a nice Victorian cafe - little shops and of course there is a nightclub. At the far end of the pier is a function venue, the Ocean Suite, with spectacular views [ but up two flights of steps.] Note there is currently no disabled toilet up on that level. However with its comfy sofas, smart seating for dining and potential to host weddings and other celebrations this is a lovely venue. The panorama all round is fabulous.

Go and enjoy

Having grown up in Eastbourne the Pier has always been the focal point of Eastbourne. It is amazing how different it looks now though and walking around the Pier was a weird experience.

If you come to Eastbourne and fancy a 5 minute walk around the Pier it is well worth a visit to say that you have been. IMO there is absolutely nothing to do on the Pier but worth a walk.

Worth visiting. Open walking spaces, lovely views, bunting and traditional. Unusual tea room and bar with outside seating.

Nice to see it's been repaired since its fire a few years ago, maybe it's still work in progress in getting things replaced. Not the longest pier but offers a very wide open space.

We had a walk on the pier where you can enjoy the sun in a free deckchair or one of the many other seats on there. Be sure to visit the Victorian Tea Room with its beautiful chandeliers and a nice selection of delicious cakes.

On a trip to Eastbourne you have to venture up the lovely pier, it is a must! Really well maintained and under constant maintenance, every time I visit it is blatantly obvious that regular care is taken with its upkeep. The pier offers shops, food outlets, bar and amusements. But, above all an unrivalled view of the sea and seafront. Beautiful Victorian Timepiece with modern amenities, just lovely.

An enjoyable stroll to see the views back of the town. We enjoyed visiting the glassblowing workshop on the pier. There are also a number of other little shops.
