This is the classic pier experience. Pleasant enough cafe, nice stroll, see the sea. And free of charge.

Quite dated and needs a face-lift. I loved arcades growing up but this venue still has machines from the 1990s and needs some love.

The atmosphere is also quite dull. The only time this place probably has had a hot atmosphere was when it was on fire.

The new owner of the pier has put a few benches all over the pier which are very nice to sit down on when the sun is shining the views are lovely just sit and sock up the sun lovely

This has been restored to a high standard by a local businessman. It is finished in gold and lions heads which may not be to everyone's taste. However it presumably is reminiscent of a bygone era and worth a walk to the end where there is bracing air and surf together with a clean but uninspiring pub.

Lovely area spoilt by drunken 'drop outs' who are unfortunately allowed to congregate and swill alcohol openly under the pier and along the walkways-had one pass foul mouthed comments-what a shame!

A much smaller pier than say Brighton, but it's still nice. Lovely bit of history to visit, a few shops, a cafe and some arcades made it a lovely little stroll.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Eastbourne Pier when we stayed in Eastbourne after visiting Beachy Head. The Pier is really impressive (as is the restoration work being done on the flooring and benches etc.) It took us back to childhood days of visiting seaside resorts especially those with piers and of losing lots of money in the amusement arcades. We had fun recreating those memories by playing on the 2p machines and one arm bandits.
What a great experience. There aren't many Piers left at UK seaside resorts so this one is a must to visit if you are in the area.

A good job done by the owner to get this icon up and running again. Other than the slot machine arcades (3), a tea room, nightclub/theatre & two other outlets, there's not much there but I gather the owner is trying to get more shops/outlets to open up there. Give it time !

There is no better place in Eastbourne to get a taste of the town life and sample what it has to offer. Lots to see and do on the pier itself from hand made glass gifts, arcade, night club, bar and assorted gifts to remember your visit with. The nearby promenade has a truly spectacular flower display, and plenty of seating throughout to enjoy the views and some fish and chips.

Went for a walk down the pier,c and across wonderful glass shop where there were to nice ladies working very hard producing some lovely pieces.i have 6 sisters and bought each of them a glass angel and some other pieces. I told them I had a long journey back to Manchester and they took the time to wrap each item, glad to say they were all okay on return, well worth a visit.

Visit the Victorian Tea Rooms. And try the red velvet cake.... Best ever. Always good for walk to the end of the pier and enjoy the view of Eastbourne.

We visited in April this year and although we could see work was being done, it was still a bit 'tatty' in places and was not fully accessible. Now, there are lots of new picnic tables, fresh paintwork and you can now walk right to the end. Hopefully by the time we next visit the Camera Obscura will also be open.

The pier is kept lovely and clean and there are shops and eating places too. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants but lots of people were eating there and the premises looked lovely. A great place to sit and watch the world go by!!

When the sun is out this is the place to be sitting looking out over the sea enjoying a glass of wine or beer, chating to friends.

Whilst visiting Eastbourne my partners daughter suggested we walk along the pier. Having walked the length of the pier there was not that much to do unless you want to play on slot machines or eat. The Victorian tea room looked very nice from outside but we were heading off elsewhere for lunch so didn't partake.

All though the pier is outstanding we did not feel very welcome when visiting the Victoria Tea Rooms. The tea room itself was lovely with its outstanding chandeliers & good food. Our only complaint was the unfriendlyness of the waiting staff. A friendly smile goes a long way. Even the girl on the till took our money with an unfriendly frown.

Great for a stroll and take in the views but why oh why do they charge so much once their Tea almost £2 for a cup chips almost £2 for a few and they end in the bin, great attraction shame about the money grabbers.
