Visit the Victorian Tea Rooms. And try the red velvet cake.... Best ever. Always good for walk to the end of the pier and enjoy the view of Eastbourne.

We visited in April this year and although we could see work was being done, it was still a bit 'tatty' in places and was not fully accessible. Now, there are lots of new picnic tables, fresh paintwork and you can now walk right to the end. Hopefully by the time we next visit the Camera Obscura will also be open.

The pier is kept lovely and clean and there are shops and eating places too. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants but lots of people were eating there and the premises looked lovely. A great place to sit and watch the world go by!!

When the sun is out this is the place to be sitting looking out over the sea enjoying a glass of wine or beer, chating to friends.

Whilst visiting Eastbourne my partners daughter suggested we walk along the pier. Having walked the length of the pier there was not that much to do unless you want to play on slot machines or eat. The Victorian tea room looked very nice from outside but we were heading off elsewhere for lunch so didn't partake.

All though the pier is outstanding we did not feel very welcome when visiting the Victoria Tea Rooms. The tea room itself was lovely with its outstanding chandeliers & good food. Our only complaint was the unfriendlyness of the waiting staff. A friendly smile goes a long way. Even the girl on the till took our money with an unfriendly frown.

Great for a stroll and take in the views but why oh why do they charge so much once their Tea almost £2 for a cup chips almost £2 for a few and they end in the bin, great attraction shame about the money grabbers.

It was a very windy day and it was a lovely bracing walk along the pier. The tea room is the only one I have ever seen with chandeliers and nice selection of squidgy cakes. They were still restoring the pier and there was one or two worrying holes in the walkway so perhaps there is still room for improvement.

As per title. Nothing amazing. Great sea breeze and views.

It seems like you can still enter pier even in the evening no gates stopping you from entering

Not as good as it was ......yet but certainly getting there.
I absolutely love the gold trims and think it adds a certain something to the place. The tea rooms are fantastic but maybe a bit too pricey but your paying for the vintage experience.
I'm not quite sure how they enforce the 'only food and drinks purchased on the pier can be consumed here' and it seems a strange rule but I supposed the gold merc driving owner must keep the funds rolling in some how.
The place is in desperate need for some more lights though as when it gets dark it hasn't got the feeling of a pier in a holiday town.
Kids messing about in the evening is pretty intimidating but we had no problem with them or the alcohol drinkers congregating under the pier itself.
Over all it needs a lot more work but I don't doubt it'll be well on track by next summer. A good place to visit whilst in this beautiful seaside town. Just make sure you bring plenty of spends!!!

Uno de los rincones más agradables de Eastbourne, muy bien equipado con bancos, mesas sombrillas y negocios donde tomarte un café, una pinta o un aperitivo

We visited the Pier a couple of time during our stay, we could see a lot of work had been done and was being carried out. It was nicely done and clean and tidy with some nice touches. Look forward to returning in the future to see the finished thing

OK, so who remembers Yogi Bear? The pier has changed a bit since our last visit. There are picnic tables on the vast refurbished deck area as you go onto the pier. There are some subtle amusement machines in a little building. Plus a bar and club. There is a gift shop and a Victorian tea-room. At the end of the pier, there were always people fishing from a low platform that is barely above the sea when the tide is high. I read somewhere that he new owner has put an end to this (I suspect on safety grounds) Guess what. On the low fishing deck, instead of fishermen (and women) there were Yogi Bear picnic tables. I suspect that someone got hold of a job lot. It's good that the new owner is renovating this Victorian icon but the golden age has long gone. Let's see what happens in the future. Best wishes to the project. Oh yes, if you want to bring a picnic, there is ample seating.

Great place to go. One of the best places for people to visit in Sussex. And good for Pokemon go.

Not what you'd expect from a pier. Not enough of the usual things to do but what is really odd is the huge building at the end is a night club, so it's closed during the day and you have to go round it to get to then end of the pier.
Nice enough though, on a blustery September day. There's a nice tea shop in the middle.

First time we have been back to Eastbourne sine 2014, and they were due to re-open it on the Saturday, when we had to leave on the Friday.
This pier has been restored to it's former glory, and without the tackiness of Brighton pier with it's myriad of Rides,Arcades and noise.
It is a lovely place to wander along, with Quaint Victorian tea rooms, and of course the Fish & Chip units, but as Kenny Everett said "All in the best possible taste"
Loved it, don't see how you could not visit it, and it's FREE.

The tea rooms are Devine. Lovely cakes and proper tea pots. Lovely treat there is. Glass shop where all glass flowers are made by hand and other items and they have times when you can go and watch how they do it.

It's good to see its back to normal after seeing it after the fire , but dogs aren't allowed now so the shops and arcades will loose custom , although we went down separately to see how it was we didn't stop or spend money which we would of normally as we like the 2p machines and have fun where ever we go , shame !

Great pier. Has a few shops that sell seaside treats and an arcade section. There is also a nightclub there but we did not visit. It jas a victorian tea room that looked very cosy. Was quiet when we went.
