This is a little gem of a pier, interesting in itself but the controversy of the gold painted lions makes for an intereting conversation with the locals. Well worth a walk to the end.

Had a great cream tea on the pier really good home made scones. Bought two lovely presents for family in the hand made glass gift shop. If you visit Eastbourne the pier is well worth a visit.

Not a lot to do on the pier but nice little walk, has the normal things fish and chip shop, donut stall, amusements, tea shop and pub. Clean and not too busy.

This is another pier that sadly was damaged by fire in recent years but luckily has been restored by the current owner who is a local hotelier and businessman

The pier is not overrun with tacky amusements but left fairly basic akin to how it would have been originally which I myself do like

I believe that the current owner at one point wanted to charge admission which has not happened yet and I personally believe should not be able to be put into force

Well worth a walk to the end. It's a bit weather beaten, but the weather can be very bad, I love the gold roof.

Try the afternoon tea in the Victorian cafe. Lovely food swiftly and efficiently served. The prawn sandwiches and scones with jam and cream were delicious

A couple of arcades and small shops as well as some where to eat during the day! It's worth a visit but I've seen better ones!

Visited here on a nice day sun was out and headed for a few drinks at the end of the pier in a cool Jazz bar. Enjoyed the walk along the old fashioned pier, typical British beach resort!

The pier is having a lot of money and time being spent on it and is not yet completed following the fire
There is clean safe decking and new restaurant, with other attractions worth a visit. And it's free.

Good to see that Eastbourne has maintained its historic pier, with free admission! A great bracing walk next to the waves.

Needs more activities but still great to see piers being put back into full working order. Eastbourne needs regeneration and this is a good start.

Since the fire a lot has been accomplished on the pier. But it could still do with more for the kids.
Great views from the pier, good food and plenty of places to sit and contemplate.

Much improved since our last visit & work still ongoing. Lot of the tacky shops replaced by nicer individual ones with unusual items for sale.

One of the things I love about Eastbourne is the beautiful architecture, surrounded by an exquisite coastline.

The pier blends in so well the architectural surrounding and it's a joy that it still stands proudly on the Eastbourne seafront.

Eastbourne is a very nice quiet area. Good for couples or pensioners. In the summer I'm sure it will pick up with families which will be better for my kids however was here on business with my partner so had a good time in the peaceful city

A lovely pier and nice and clean. The music at the end of the pier near the bar spoilt it a bit as it was a bit loud but not too bad. The Victoria tea rooms were lovely and did nice tea and cake.

While visiting Eastbourne we had to look on the Pier!
Gorgeous Views all around looking out to sea!
Lots to see on the pier too, including a Victorian Café + Sweet Shop!
Original 'ZOLTAN' who will tell your 'Lucky Numbers' etc. for £1.00.
