According to the locals that we spoke to this pier has been saved by a beneficiary and thank goodness it has.
Not too much of the seaside tat that you see on a lot of piersyou'll just beautiful views right up the coast. Magnificent!

Just your average pier with a lot less to see and do.
They do have really beautiful Victorian Tea room there that do scones and everything delicious.

Well what can you say it's a pier at the end of the day don't what the new owner thinks he will achieve painting it all gold everywhere think he's destroying it's character put it back how it was it's Victorian for God's sake

I can imagine this Pier to be buzzing in the height of summer but it was quite a blustery day when we visited. Even so, it was just about warm enough to walk to the end and enjoy the view. We had a typical afternoon tea in the lovely tearooms with marvellous chandeliers and enjoyed the views!

It was free to enter it ,which was great news. Very clean and tidy. Lots of nice little shops to look in. From the fare end you get a great view of the whole of the front of Eastbourne. Well worth the walk along it.

Entrance is free which is a bonus as I have to pay in my home town of Bournemouth. Usual arcades and a good view back towards Eastbourne. Lovely "posh" tea rooms serving reasonably prices cream teas and afternoon teas.

The Pier is ok if all you want to do is have somewhere to sit for either a coffee or a beer. We went into the Tea Room and had a cream/jam scone each with a cup of tea and thought that at just under £9 for two was a bit above average. Nothing on the pier was of interest to us. We did have a look at the blown glass but again though it expensive.

A lovely big pier. Since the fire on Eastbourne pier, sadly the undercover amusement arcade was never replaced. There is a big gap where the arcade used to be. Still a nice pier to walk along and some seats to sit on and admire the view and catch the sun.

Great day out, brought back memories of my childhood. Kids loved it too even though it was hot and sticky. Be back soon no doubt

I'd talk about the magnificent views, the pleasant little shops and the utterly relaxed feel of walking above the Channel. Or mention the feasts available for a hungry couple at lunchtime and the ability to dine with the horizon at your table.

But they have a Zoltar machine. The proper one that gives you your fortune on a printed ticket. My wife and I had a blast listening to the fortunes, suddenly teenagers again watching Big at the cinema on our first date.

Eat hearty, slake your thirst and refresh yourself with the endless majesty of the view. Then spend every leftover coin you have on Zoltar
