Nice pier with free admission and plenty of places to play the amusement machines and buy tourist stuff. Had tea at the Tea Room which was nice but my goodness they sell their cakes in very thin slices for 3 pounds a portion. Service was nice and the staff in the tea room smiled!

A good place to visit to sit and enjoy the sea and look along the coast of Eastbourne. When I last visited the sun was out and it was very hot. The sea was a brilliant blue and it felt and looked like a Spanish Costa!!

Eastbourne has a lovely seaside with a great pier and beach. I loved all the little cafes along the beach. The only thing that spoilt it was the fact we had to pay to use the very dated toilet facilities.

Nice little pier, with amusements which children will enjoy with lots of gifts that could be won. There is also a lovely tea house, which is well worth a visit.

I feel the pier has been saved and improved since the fire and the new owner taking over the gold just shows off its best features in a new light it’s a lovely space to think and relax and grab a coffee or fish and chips

Well worth a gentle stroll down the pier and back again. While there are a great many game machines there are also other places to stop at even if it only for a cup of tea. Unfortunately you are not allowed to fish from the end of the pier so you cannot stop and watch the locals fishing. Also the very end seems to be cordoned off as it is very rusty and maybe dangerous. If watching the airshow then this is a good location and makes a change from sitting on the stony beach. What I do love is the plentiful number of benches and tables to sit on if you have brought food with you.
